  • Is the effect the same if you wax or polish your car ?

  • turtle wax sucks

  • how come i wasted money on a turtle wax gift pack and it didnt come with the wax?

  • Help me please:

Hi I bought the same product and I used it on my black BMW after it has been washed,

But 3 weeks later, after washing the car weekly, the wax didn't go with the washing, now the hole area looks like it has been scratched very hard , you can see scratches with white color

No one would believe it is a wax and I don't know how to remove it !

So how to fully remove the wax from the body?

hard washing didn't help at all

  • What is the benefits of waxing?

  • I was wondering if I could wax a car in the sun without damaging the paint at a temperature of 65 degrees farenhite?

  • yeah tutrle wax... /watch?v=VNQQ1Vf_DGk

  • ´hey guys (comenters) i never used wax but i recently painted a classic 1950s bicycle and the paint was a 3 coat enamel that was than fine sanded but i cant paint it again so im wondering will waxing or polishing give it a glossy finish? please let me know :D

  • @excalebuir It might? But I would probably do it somewhere out of site so people don't think you're weird. The back yard or in a garage would be a good idea.

  • turtle wax twatty

  • yes mr miyagi

  • Tommy Likey, Tommy wants Wingy!.....

  • I prefer to use the liquid Turtle Wax because the paste tends to pick up any particulate matter still left on the surface of your car which gets deposited on the surface of the paste in the can, every time you dip your applicator in the can. Next time you take wax out of the can, you are picking up the impurities and re-depositing it back onto your paint, which will scratch it. By using only the liquid product, you get clean wax every time. I have an old car that looks better than it deserves.

  • Is it recommended, besides giving the car a nice wash and dry, before a wax? Ive herd a nice polish before is a good idea but is it required?

  • Turtlewaxtommy I live in the uk and use turtlewax black box but it's about 35 dollars for the kit the bottles are only 300ml is there any were I can get a better deal on the Internet. Plus check my video on YouTube. Turtle wax blackbox Honda civic

  • @abelton2007 Glad to hear you're going to try some new products. :) Have you tried Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover? Sounds like it may help with your problem.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    -Tommy

  • @grapeHateraid They can be machine washable by themselves, but don't use any fabric softener. Always run at a minimum a second rinse cycle to ensure no soap residue is left, and then air fluff in the dryer or line dry. If the microfiber has fallen to the ground and has picked up little sticks or leaves, discard the microfiber. Buying microfibers in bulk is the most cost effective way to purchase and with the multiple uses both in and out of the house, you can’t have enough of them. -Tommy

  • I have a small blemish from using the Turtle wax scratch remover kit (probably from the sanding pad that came with the product) and I want to get rid of it. Would this product help? What do you recommend? Thanks!

  • @kmpkingshorse I'd try reapplication of the included paint clarifying compound. The compound should be able to restore the finish to like new condition after using the sanding pads. If this does not work, you can try to lightly sand again with the #4 pad only, and then follow with the paint clarifying compound. Be cautious when sanding to not press too hard and check your work often. -Tommy

  • @grapeHateraid i want to know that to

  • is it true you have to polish the car before waxing?

  • @DanielRabell kinda. The polish gets rid of things like fine swirls or scratches, the wax is like adding a protecting layer on top of your paint and it helps to give it a deeper shine.

  • @lokichaos2 but i understand that if you are not carefull with the polish one can really ruin the paint is that true?

  • @DanielRabell I mean a lot of people when they apply the polish or wax put way too much pressure on it. I have heard of that causing problems but not really. I mean if you have something dirty like a very small piece of rock stuck on your applicator then yes your gonna scratch the car more. Polish and clay baring basically removes a really really thin layer of your cars paint, at least from what I understand about it, and this helps to get rid of stuff like oxidation that is stuck to the top

  • @lokichaos2 ok thanks a lot I think before I polish it myself ill ask someone I know that knows how to do it to come and help me do it Thank a lot

  • @DanielRabell You don’t have to polish the car prior to waxing. However, the action of polishing does increase the gloss level, which in turn gives the vehicle a more reflective look with sharper lines. I recommend polishing the car once a year to maintain optimum gloss. Best results are achieved using a machine, like the Porter Cable XP Dual Action Polisher.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy ok thanks a lot for the info btw ive started to use your line of products and im extremely impressed you are doing an incredible job

  • hi mike

i have a stupid question whats the wax for ?

  • @xTRiGGeRxG6 here are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. Waxes are primarily used to give durability. The waxes form a film on the surface of the vehicle and become the sacrificial barrier between the vehicle’s paint surface and the environment. - Mike from Turtle Wax

  • @TurtleWaxTommy Just to add to what you said, In aviation we see an accelerated affect of wind abrasion on surfaces because of the high speeds of aircraft through the air. The air around us isn't pure. It has dust in it. The dust acts like sand in a sand blaster. Same for your car. It gets grit blasted every day. Waxing helps protect it. It looks good too and stays cleaner longer.

  • Can I use ice polish then ice spray wax over it? Or Is it one or the other?

  • @MattMagyar I recommend using only one product at a time. Many last step products need at least 24 hours to fully cure on the surface for optimum durability. By using one product over another, you may have less than expected results. Both products can be layered, but wait at least 24 hours between coats. - Tommy

  • Thanks

  • u forgot to damp that sponge, it says to damp it in the instructions

  • nice

  • Can u put ice synthetic paste wax on with a pc 7424 polisher

  • @pojoe1975 Yes, you can use a polisher to apply Ice Paste. Use a slow speed to spread the polish. Finish with light wiping with a microfiber and Ice Detailer.

    - Tommy

  • simple

  • The quality of the results are directly proportional to the time that is put in. I would always wash and dry the car and immediately use a clay bar to remove surface contaminants. Inspect the finish for swirl marks , light scratches and lost gloss afterwards. Use a mild polishing compound like Turtle Wax Premium polishing compound T-415 and follow with Ice Spray Wax or Ice Liquid Polish.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy Hi, i tried the Turtle Wax Ice Clay Kit, and used enough of the lube that comes with it when I was done with the liquid clay, I even up the entire lube bottle but i STILL got some marring on few places of my hood. How can i get rid of the marred spots? They look like scuffed/swirl marks that I can't rub it off with a polish. I have the ultimate rubbing compound and the polishing compound, could they help remove the marred spots? please help! Turtle Wax Ice Head For Life!

  • @bludika The surface marring that can occur can happen on warm surfaces. The microscopic marks are created by surface cleaning. The Polishing Compound will remove them as well as a cleaner wax. If you are using ICE, use a mild polishing compound on a micro fiber cloth. Good luck! - Tommy

  • what about polishing?

  • If you guys knew how to was properly you wouldnt be going in circles, causing hairline swirls. Always go in long strait motions. Amateurs. But hey what do i know ive only owned and operated a detail shop for the last 12 years.

  • @7894277 Bah, I should've read your comment before swirling my car but Idc it has dents and lots of scratches

  • @7894277 DIDNT YOU SEE THE KARATE KID!!!!!

  • i have a Mitsubishi L200. with Anzahl? or Anzhal? paint. it had been untouched for a very long time, the hood and roof seems like it doesnt have luster, rough and crack marks, will this Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell Paste work in my car? please answer as soon as possible because i bought this product already. Thanks :D

  • @09204418448 An Anzahl automotive finish is a urethane based paint. Do not wax the finish if it is rough and has cracks on the surface! A car wax will highlight the problems. First, purchase a clay bar kit like Ice Clay Kit. Clean the surface first with the clay bar and spray lube. This should remove the roughness. If the finish still feels rough, be careful not to use any other products until re-washing the paint. Cont....

  • @09204418448 Look closely at the paint while rewashing the finish. If water acts like it is soaking into the paint surface and it is difficult to dry the finish, the paint may be severely weather damaged. If this is the case only use Ice Liquid Polish or Ice Spray Wax to bring back shine. Other products may leave a residue behind which may not be easily removed. If the paint feels smooth and the shine has been somewhat restored, Super Hard Shell can be used.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy thats a very useful help sir. my dad cant wait and he applied the wax right away and the crack marks were obvious now but the water repels nicely. Thanks sir. will do it right away

  • @09204418448 I'm happy to help!

  • @purplehaze049: I notice that cleaner waxes/sealants like Super Hard Shell, F21, Carnauba Cleaner Wax, etc have better cleaning action when the circular pattern is used. Pure waxes and sealants like Platinum Ultra Gloss, and Ice can be applied with the side to side or back and forth motions to greater effect.

  • @russty36: You also may have applied too thick a layer of Ice. I apply a very thin layer and let it bond for at least 15 minutes. I don't have a removal problem at all. Spraying Ice Detailer makes it effortless. I have shelves full of Meguiars, mothers Zymol, Surf City Garage, Ardex, Race Glaze, Sterling Laboratories, and 3M. Ice Paste is my "go to" wax/sealant.

  • man i work at turtle was and we were always told to go left to right or up and down not circles.....why are you doing it different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this company is so odd ball i wish corporate would step up with there locations so inconsistent....bad for business train all your mangers to teach the employees properly how to use all your products

  • Ice paste is different than Super Hard Shell Paste Wax. Ice Paste is a synthetic wax blend that provides superior durability and shine. It does not contain cleaning agents. For easy Ice Paste removal we recommend the wax be sprayed with Ice detailer before removing. This will make Ice Paste extremely easy to remove. If you don’t have our detailer, a light mist of water will work too. This is on the directions. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Ok, so I watched this video. I had some Turtle wax synthetic Ice paste and once I let it sit on the car for 4 minutes, it was almost impossible to remove with the micro fiber towel that came with the paste. Was it the humid air that caused this? Its midnight here in Florida and after my attempt to wax the car I gave up when the micro fiber towel would hardly move over the surface. This wax is Terrible!

  • @russty36. Don't ever.......EVER wax a vehicle at night in an uncontrolled environment (outside air)... ever. Yeah it WAS the night air. Night air is always more humid and being in florida is even worse. Whether you see the condensation or not doesn't matter. It's there. No car wax will come off properly if at all in night air. It will stick like tacky glue. The product is not terrible.
