Perhaps its a bit of a negative. But let me start by saying, that I do agree with the song. But... I think that suicide, expecially teen suicide, is stupid. You've lived what? Under 17 years for sure. You've got the average human lifespan left. Thats around 60 years from your current age. You've only lived a short time, but it's already to much? Humans really are, weak. Things don't get solved, by killing yourself.
Yah they do. Maybe not for anybody else left behind, but they do for the individual killing their self. They don't have to experience the pain of their existence. The downside is that they can't experience the joys of existence either. Also, the people they leave behind that cared about them are left with a much less joyous existence because of guilt and things of that sort.
It makes a lot of sense why a lot young adults kill their selves (16-25), because they haven't really found their way in the world. There's a lot of insecurities involving your future and identity. It should be the best time of your life, however, its not for a lot of people. Several of my friends are unemployed right now, and things like that really effect a person's sense of self worth.

Suicide is such a terrible thing... It's fantastic that GC, who has a pretty big influence on a lot of kids is raising awareness and helping people to express the horror of suicide.
On another note, I'd like to know what happened to the optimistism and happiness that GC used to exemplify. Seem kinda manic depressive now... sad.
I have never, ever, EVER been able to watch this video all the way thru without shedding tears. Music is SUCH a powerful "device" for making a difference and reaching deep into people. Thank you for posting this vid.

The downside is that they can't experience the joys of existence either. Also, the people they leave behind that cared about them are left with a much less joyous existence because of guilt and things of that sort.
