HOW TO ATTACH A CONTINUOUS QUILT BIINDING

I'm new to quilting and am basically teaching myself through Youtube videos. This is the first binding video that actually made sense. You explained it so well and in such detail. I have my confidence back and will bind it tomorrow. Thank you so much for your help.

I don't want to be petty, but is that first fold actually a mitre or a diagonal fold? When I make mitres on the sleeves of jackets it's two folds meeting to create a corner.
