Very good video. My pound puppy who is nothing but love is currently my left armrest as I am watching your video. Many times I have wished that dogs I have come across were actually people because some people I have come across did not deserve to be people but should have been dogs. Actually you could use this as the base of a video short to play at schools speaking in the first person about animal abuse which would be a wonderful teacher of empathy for people and animals.

oh, sad! this is the craziest thing about human love. when the "lesser species" fall in love, it's true, unpretentious, and forever. and it really doesn't take much to make em love you, right? a little food each day, doesn't even have to be very good food, a kind word, a gentle touch, and you have their loyalty life-long. they'll even mourn you if you die... only people are fickle enough to stop loving even if the object of affection has done nothing to deserve such coldheartedness

Thank you, Jane. This story is very close to my heart as well. My best friend growing up was a collie/shephard and we had a beautiful retriever when I was small.

mine was a golden retriever with deep brown eyes and a pink nose. she came to us as an abused animal, later abandoned. After taking care of her for years she was my dog. Then when I got kicked out of my house, I had to go and I never came back. Later my brother said she went insane. They only saved her from having to be put down by letting her run wild on a farm. She was never tamed again.

Took a second for me to get the ending. :-( I foster dogs for rescues and wonder if they'll ever be abandoned like the dog in your video.

Yes. It is one of my favorites. It was an animated movie from the 80's, not too popular about two dogs who escaped from a cruel animal testing facility. There is one dog who distrusts humans and one who trusts all but the "whitecoats" It's by the same author as Watership Down, but more realistic(except dogs talking)
