thats a DVI to HDMI adapter, some cards come with it and some don't. You can find it in some stores.

Installing "Nvidia Sys Tools" will unlock some extra goodies for that card. allows you to monitor GPU cycles,Ram usage, all Frequencies and thermal probes built onto the card (theres three sensors wouldn't you know)

Nvidia is far better in both Visuals and Physics and have been not only making graphi cards but mothr boards and other kool gear like the new 3d classes they just came out with which you gotta try it for mirrors edge it scared teh shit outta me but was so fucking amazing to use it makes games so much better in a realilistic feeling.

To be truthful the optimised thing you are refering to as being bs is the very excuse i get thrown at me by ati users, as to why the nvidia cards win in most benchmarks. Also nvidia make there own drivers they dont get them from the game developers. The games are developed on nvidia cards so its not just a logo on the start of the game that why they benefit.

I did not say the game developers make the drivers, that is bloody stupid. They provide game information so that nVIDIA can optimise there drivers for that game before ATI can (notice the correct use of optimise in this sentence).

The logo is paid advertisement, nothing more. In fact, if you compare the HD 4870 with the GTX 280 216 (almost equal cards) you will find no correlation with nVIDIA ads and game performance. E.g. Crysis has equal performance between the cards...

Dude your way off with that, crossfire x2 doesnt beat tri 280 in everything but one game its more like the other way around, i never saw any benchmarks from cf x2 that beat my 280 set up, and also over 95% of games last year were optimised for nvidia and the same trend is following this year. you wouldnt buy plums for an apple pie so why buy ATI to play games when most are nvidia favoured.

And don't give me that line of shit about games being "optimised" for nVIDIA. nVIDIA pays a lot to game developers to get better drivers and put there logo on the game. That does not make nVIDIA "optimised" (whatever the f*ck that is supposed to mean), it means nVIDIA gets promotion and better drivers for games. nVIDIA performs significantly better in few games (Far Cry 2 being one), and often performs worse in games with their logo on it.
