  • The car is beeping...probably saying, "What is going on here!!?"

  • Exactly why u never buy a used car from a teenager.

  • If I had the pleasure to own a car as nice as an Acura period, that is the last thing I would do with it dude....take care of it, the RL is a pretty nice car to be treating like that.

  • where's the steep hill?

  • I scape my exhaust tips on pavement everyday!, what the hell can you do?.

  • I wouldnt have done it, BUT, you should have went at a slight angle so you would have hit ur exhaust outlets....I like the chrome wheels tho !!

  • why do that to such car?

  • great car , stupid driving

  • way to smash your bumper

  • wow, that sh-awd really kicked it into high gear there, that grass looked treacherous !

  • LAME, MY PRIUS CAN DO THAT -.-

  • @Tarnjit69 Can it fuck ahhahhahahaah! Pussy'ole driving a prius

  • @lbennyn lol i actually dont own a prius i was joking

  • This car is not designed for this. Try with your 3-ton, 6 liter and 250hp redneck truck. Stupid americans!

  • dude any car can do that....

  • @JETSTA916

You must have never driven a car.

  • @JETSTA916 yea i never ever have....i never....but i do own a tl 04..smoke yo shit son

  • A N D ???

  • is u a retarde?

  • please post more videos of you being even more dumb

  • WHY?

  • u might as well mute this video lol so many ppl worried about the tow ring.

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD IS THE TOW RING OK?!!?!?!?

  • wheres the demonstration? it looks like it failed right at the crest forcing you to back down lol

  • @OverlyExcitedNewJack are...are you serious?

  • climb with acceleration possible with civic too - no need to have awd, do it slowly - then you'll see the difference!.

  • so tow ring hits ground that's fine, but only bumper hit is not fine? You could hit bumper as well, where there is no reason to hurt a lovely car to make a movie to put on fucking youtube

  • I want to talk smack just like everybody else.... my Chevrolegs could of gone up that,, even with no shoes!

  • i can go up that with a scooter

  • my mini cooper can go up that..

  • Hey dumbass buy a Tacoma if u wanna do shit like that. Plus u scraped the back bumper. IDIOT

  • @JDM417 You must own a Tacoma? just guessing

  • @xxsekoxx NO i dont drive a tacoma i drive a 2007 TL Type S. My point was if he wants to do stuff like that he should get a pick up truck like a tacoma.

  • @JDM417 oh OK.. Gotcha!

  • wtf would you do that, its called super handling awd, its for handling. if u wanna do this, go get a fukin suv

  • дебилы

  • dude, you need jesus

  • i wouldent do that in my RL what a stupid fuck, a fucking honda civic could do that

  • i hate to be a party pooper but my lincoln could have done that with the bald tires.....

  • The comments are more entertaining that this demonstration of stupidity.

    no hate.

  • what was the point of that...

  • fukin useless ur guna hurt the shit by scraping it dude dont be stupid

  • lmao.....steep......hahah i could PUSH my jeep up that....

  • Way to ruin your exhaust tips Jackass

  • @smczack1 he didnt hurt them

  • @smczack1 can you not read what's right above your comment? he wrote that 2 years before you saw this video.

  • @smczack1 LOL. This kinda shit is why buying used cars scares me.

  • Looks like someone was bored :) what a great car the RL is.

  • I like these RL's than the new ones. The new ones are soo ugly.

  • THat is the gheyst thing I've ever seen. Damn ricers......

  • no offense but my 2001 sunfire with FWD could do that, it's a grassy hill

  • really? :-/

  • Pretty cool, I bet you didn't mean to hit the exhaust tips did you?

  • why dont u lift it and put swampers on too, dummy? lol.

  • but acura is more luxury moron

  • Actually my sister had a Volvo XC90 (04) and when the lease was up the tester tried going up a hill like this, and failed lol. So a Volvo cannot do it =).

  • @MikeHuntIsItchy That's because Volvo, the CRV, and AWD Chrysler vans use an "on demand", or as I call it "tag-along" AWD system. They're lousy when you need them to really work for you. They ONLY send power to the rear wheels AFTER the fronts have slipped. In really bad conditions, that's enough to get you stuck. Manual transmission Subarus, Mitsubishis and Audis always send a reasonable balance of power to both ends all the time.

  • @snowrocket - that may be true, but when she first got the car it worked fine, 4 years later it didn't send any power to any other wheels except the front 2. Volvo cars will always be crap in my eyes (minus the older station wagons) but Volvo semi trucks, those are niceee.

  • It's a good thing it was a lease. IMO, that's the problem with manufacturers without a lot of experience AND systems that rely on hydraulics/clutches/electronics to transfer the power: long term reliability. For most people most of the time, a simple mechanical AWD gives you everything you need 90% of the time. Time will tell if the Honda SH-AWD will hold up.

  • @snowrocket SH-AWD already has major problems with shuddering and noise. there's a TSB

  • @OverlyExcitedNewJack Wow, I didn't know that! Well, that supports my overall claim that I've stated elsewhere on this site that the BEST AWD systems for cars are made by Audi, and Subaru. Both have decades of vast research and experience that have created reliable systems that operate seemlessly for years. Mitsubishi does a good AWD as well, but needs to "spread the love" to more than just a few models.

  • @snowrocket i agree totally i have an 03 lancer OZ Rally i wish i could have awd on it shy of spending 8000 to 10000 for an evo conversion

  • LOL what a fuckin moron!!!

  • thank you for that demostration.lol

  • way to go on scratching the bottom rear of the car.....

  • Oh btw, great job on scrapping the rear end of the car...and I bet whoever was in that Ford that drove btw is like...wtf are they doing?

  • Why would you do this in a car like this. Yea, I'm going to take my $40k car up a little hill. That's not even what the purpose of SH-AWD is you retard. It's designed to give better handling...on roads...not hills.

  • lol at the back up sensors

  • I want one

  • u could hear the backup sensor when he came down to the bottom.

  • crazy

  • so thats a hill huh ?

  • The guy driving by was probably like W.T.F?

    lol

  • i can do that wid my bike.....how bout u do sumthing that would show the legend off a little bit

  • Wow an offroad car with 4 inches of ground clearance. What will Honda think of next?

  • dude...i took my 95 cavalier up a rly steep old logging road (my friends rediculous driveway lol) no problem...this...is week. ill record it and post it and show u steep

  • my decade old scooby could do this. thats not difficult at all. hell, i wouldnt doubt that pretty much any car could do this. impressed not found.

  • Cool, now try it in the snow.

  • That's not how you use SH-AWD dude! SH-AWD is designed for superior cornering.....

  • why would you even do that with tis kind of car?

  • yea i kno watch 0:06, they scrape the bottom

  • thought you said steep?

  • WEAK!

  • ahhh u scraped the whole bottom of the car. that is soooo expensive to fix

  • Seriously stupid video, man. STUPID! Who would watch something like this?

  • great video---nOT!

  • ok noob next you go up at a slant ... not striaght to scrap the pipes and bumpers.

  • Your just scratched your exhaust tips... not a way to treat that baby

  • Are you serious? You think that's steep? Keep it on the pavement stunt man!

  • I hear the backup alerter inside the car going crazy.

  • Wow my driveway is steeper then that and dads rear wheel drive van can get up that with no problem

  • That's certainly NOT what Acura spent time & money developing SH-AWD for!

  • DID the ol RL do that? I had the 97 special bose edition but lost her to wipe out after only 8 monthes. Leathers were awesome in that car especially the back seat. ;)

  • this is exactly what i need for my every-day-need to climb a steep hill

  • LOL I know rite

  • haha.. Pretty sure most cars with good tires could do this

  • I Agree

  • Any Audi A6, Bmw 5 series or Mercedes E class can do that.

  • Should try to demonstrate that if it's your own car.

  • Really nice car. I cannot think of another sedan that would not have spinned going up that hill.

  • Impressive, I never though a sedan could do climb a hill like that, that goes to show how well the SH-AWD comes in handy.

I can't imagine what the 09 NSX v10 SH-AWD is going to do.

  • nice car, dumb idea

    Thanks for the video

  • ouch that sound of the bumper hitting the ground wasn't good.

  • It was the tow ring that struck. Bumper and exhaust did not hit. No damage done. Just a scratch on the tow ring which is located ahead and just below the bottom of the rear bumper. . The car does not have wheel spin when accelerating from a stop in the rain. Rented a Toyota Avalon last week in Florida and had to feather the throttle when making rapid moves across an intersection. You get accustomed to swiftly moving from stopped to speed across intersections with the RL's SH-AWD.
