Best thing to do is buy a large heated propergator and fill with a layer of soil and mix about a thousand seeds into it ( its easy to get that many because I was getting over a hundred in one pod ) then after they all germinate you will notice that a small percentage of them will grow much faster than the others. Pick those out and use them as your stock.
@GulfCoastJaguarundi May I make a suggestion? Make your own potting soil: 1 part compost and 1 part sand. The sand allows the roots to grow easily and drain; the compost provides the nutrients it needs. I'd only cover the seeds with about 1/8" of soil and keep the temp around 70 degrees.
You're better off using fibrous organic material (coconut fuzz, decayed wood bark, even peat if your pH stays mild enough) than sand plus compost. Depends on the compost but mixed with sand it can still compact too much unless you put so much sand in that your plant ends up with a weak root system because the soil moves around too easily (easy to get wind damage once outside). Of course this is not ALWAYS a problem, but as for draining the real solution is don't over-water.
