  • i dont think the police will help them all they have ever trained to go up against it people with fruits

like if you get the joke

  • We had to do interviews for my buisness class and me and my freind renacted this, nobody unsterstood, people dont know good humor anymore!

  • Love John Cleese's face at 2:35

  • Gets me everytime.

  • I am TOTALLY going to do this in the next job interview I have to give.

  • 0:52 Trollface

  • 28 people don't know what to do when you do that.

  • Most of my job interviews have been like this.

  • I guess that answers the question of what trolls did before the internet was invented...

  • Weird how this is the same thing as John Cleese's "How to irritate people"- Job Interview lol too funny. Love monty python

  • @Coopersboy7 John Cleese -is- one of the Pythons. He probably wanted to rerun it with the troupe, give it a bit more exposure.

  • @kiraina25 lol i know he is. he is my fav.

  • Lmaof! Priceless!

  • Question: why isn't this a TV show yet? "Punk'd Job Interview Edition" assholes set up their friends for a fake interview and video tape them while they get so pissed they punch the interviewer.

  • are you serious, this was aired in 1969 ? Dpnt believe it.

  • Unfortunately many job interviews sound a bit like this...

  • Gooooood niiiiiiigght

  • The sad thing is that as utterly random as this sketch is, SNL writers on their best day couldn't come close to it for humor.

  • what is the sketch called where John Cleese raises a little board with: "joke"?

  • FIVE. FOUR. THREE. TWO. ONE. ZERO.

  • so nice =)

  • No comedy group will ever be better than Monty Python!

    Monty Python = CLASSIC! XD

  • 5, 4, 3, 2,1,0!

  • It's been over 30 years since I first saw this sketch, and to this very day i cannot pass by a little bell without picking it up and going "gooooood-nighhhhhht-a-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding ding-ding-ding-dinggg".

  • ..Very Strange!..

  • @flyingsaucer0619 please shut the fuck up.

  • I think the judge on the left is the East German judge.

  • I note that 25 people mistakenly hit the dislike button.

  • @DawnScholar I note that one person wants to be a fascist and doesn't like it when people have a different sense of humour to him/her

  • @DawnScholar you too

  • Will somebody explain the people who hold up numbers? It seems to be some inside Brit joke, but this American doesn't get it.

  • @drobin3149 it's like at the olympics, when the judges give you numbers that make up your score.

  • 2:45 ... lolz

  • Finden Sie auch, dass man Bewerber ordentlich unter Druck setzen sollte? Dann sollten wir reden!

  • Actually job interviews are a lot like this. At least the ones I've been to.

  • HHAHAHA! I love this sketch, one of there best!

  • Cleese was good 40 years ago.

The other guy was alive 40 years ago.

  • I like the original from John Cleese (hot to irritate people: Job interview)

  • Comment removed

  • rotflmao!!!

  • Graham just looks so hopeless at the end, poor guy.

  • why did u think i rang the bell

    well i.....

    5!

    4!

    3!

    2!

    1!

    "write something down"

    too late

    lmao

  • A-Goooodniiiiight-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!"

  • 2:36, Cleese's expression is like "Am I going to have to ring the bell again?"

    Brilliance.

  • I only like the part when graham looses his patience

  • But all interviews are liek this! Right? Right??

  • Looks like a normal job interview LOL

  • How can Graham possibly keep a straight face when Cleese rings that bell?

  • this is stunning lol

  • Aren't all job interviews like this?

  • omg the ending XD

  • Isn't this basically what all employment is about? Some idiot conditioning you to do what they want you to do?

  • owned!

  • this ones better than the version they did for How To Irritate People....john cleese looks more evil here....hahaha

  • I love John's smile about a minute in. It just looks so naughty, you can tell that he's laughing inside.

  • goooooooooooood niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight adingdingdingdingding

  • "Oh Dear, I don't think I'm doing very well."

    "Why do you say that?"

    "Uh, well I don't know."

"Did you say because you didn't know?"

    "Well, I-I-i"

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE! ZERO!.......Right......'AHHGGGNNNN'"

  • Well I'm afraid not; I'm afraid all the vacancies were filled several weeks ago - HAHAHAHA!

  • "Name?" "What?" "Your name, please. Your name." "Uhh, David." "David ... Sure?" "Yes." "David Sure." "No, no, Thomas!" "THOMAS Sure!" "No, David Thomas!" *staaaares* "A-Goooodniiiiight-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!"
  • @madscientist90 I hope you realise how incredibly annoying it is when people quote the video, especially jokes, in the comments, completely ruining the timing and excellence of the performers. Please refrain in future.

  • @delamrio

You really can't be serious about me listening to you about not quoting stuff from the video, right?

Alright, so, maybe I will. Now go post the same darn thing on the trillions of videos on YT, every single user who quotes any given phrase. Maybe some poor dope'll listen to you.

Hahah, but seriously, people come onto the virtual world to let loose and have fun. Cut yourself some slack and chill, bro. :)

    :B

  • @delamrio How could it be annoying? Seriously, what i find annoying is people like you telling other people that the kind of comment they made annoys them when theres tons of other people who always make that kind of comment on so many youtube videos. Almost every montypython video has someone quoting the video, and i don't find it annoying at all, if u find it annoying u really shouldn't be on YouTube.

  • @PauIsAlive I find it annoying when people find that they need to correct every fool on the internet.

  • Gooode niiiight dingdingdingding HAHAH

  • I love the look on Graham's face at the end! HAHA.

  • If only job interviews were REALLY like this I would be applying all the time for them LOL.

  • @hydra555 ME TOO LOL

  • @hydra555 I don't know how to tell you this... They are...

  • I might want to have this job.

I may be just crazy enough to qualify!

  • Hehe, I second that statement.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it :P.

  • 2:59 ROTFLMAS LOL

  • 7,9 is probably a mistake.

By the way, is that Terry Gilliam?

If so, the mark kind of makes more sense.

  • It's Graham Chapman and John Cleese man.

  • I was referring to the '7.9 man'.

Terry Gilliam is a terrible actor, but he appeared in front of the camera in the television series quite a few times.

He did a good jailer in Life of Brian, but that's about it.

  • 2:36 XD XD

  • well i'm a girl too, and i love this!

    stupid humour is the best

  • how awful!

...do girls not usually like this?but it's so funny...

  • Who cares if you're a girl or boy, Python rocks!

    RIP Graham.

  • sigh - I'm in love with a gay dead man ...

    Chapman Forever

  • me too ;)

  • A Canadian show called Kids in the Hall seems to pay respect to Monty Python .

  • Sadly this is what real interviews boil down to.

  • XD XD XD I love Monty Python! ITS HYSTERICAL!!

  • Lol at the end

  • lol!!

  • That is my favourite Monty Python sketch.

  • In America, this would probably be a real interview...

  • @AuroraBoredom In Sweden too... :(

  • sketch comedy has gone to hell. apart MPFC, Kids in the Hall, Chapelle show, and a few others... what other shows are on that're good still?

  • 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' and 'The Armostrong and Miller show'

    are both great!

  • peep show

  • MadTV had moments... but moments arent much after a decade or so,

  • well i like the whitest kids u know

  • Mr. Show (American, 1990s) was *awesome*. SCTV (Canadian, 70s-80s), A Bit of Fry & Laurie (UK, 80s-90s) and Big Train (UK 90s) were great as well.

None of them are on the air any more, but there's clips from all these programmes on this site.

Mitchell and Webb are the best sketch guys on right now. There's nothing on in the US or Canada presently that's as good.

  • lol that's a brilliant sketch

  • lol. love the punchline

  • lmao

  • British people rock. :D

  • Yup, we sure do! ;-)

  • are you an Anglo-phile too as well then?

    they're my favourite.

  • I was literally rolling on the floor by the 3rd time "Goooodniiiiight ringdingdingding" came along.

  • dude! me too!!! i showed my girlfriend and she barely cracked a smile. WTF is it with girls and monty python? (and the 3 stooges for that matter) are they missing a key gene or something? but she loves the young ones and Ab Fab. i don't get it...

  • hey! im a girl, all my friends are girls and a lot of my family members are also of the female gender, and we love monty python to bits! theyre effing hilarious! :(

  • I agree Monty Python is awesome!!!!!!! And I am a girl!

  • That's great, and I'm not sure what you're replying too, but I've never in my life met a girl who's liked monty python, quite the opposite. Good to know!

  • I'm a girl and I looooove Monty Python!!!

  • As a request, some of these guys did a show before monte python called "Do not adjust your set," can you find any of those?

  • I've had job interviews almost this bad - one of many reasons I'm now self-employed. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • One of the most superb Cleese-Chapman abuse sketches. Completely balanced, changing the forms every five seconds. Clown-like silly faces, bussiness world parody, confrontation of the absurd and sane, the gloat in the end... a masterpiece, I can watch it again and again.

  • Suppose he's got a pointed stick.. SHUT UP!

  • If I was ever an employer, I would do this to applicants.

  • Genius.

  • monty python's writers are INCREDIBLE

  • They were their own writers which makes it even more incredible!

  • LOL so random

  • Good~ night~ dingdingdingdingdingding!!!

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

  • Besides, Monty Python has no meaning, it's just a random comedy show, and it's freakin hilarious.

  • not entirely true. although your half right, but there is quite alot of social comment/satire in their work

  • This is hilarious. I love Monty Python and this kind of humor in general. Great sketch!

  • haha, god id be freaked out!

  • I found it quite scary at first... but when it got to the end and "the committee" started laughing I fell off mi chair laughing. Good heavens, this is brilliant!

  • how not to be seen

  • this is cool. You're hired!!!

  • I love this one:)

  • This is one of their best moments...hilarious...

    5,4,3,2,1...

  • Absolutely Hilarious

  • i beleive he says a-good a-night ding ding ding, etc.

  • I don't get why he says good night while ringing the bell. Is it purely Python sillyness or does it mean something?

  • 256.8% pure Monty Python silliness, at it's best!!

  • It's intended to symbolise Man's futility in a universe without God.

  • Are you saying that if someone doesn't believe in God there life jas no meaning? beacause I disagree.

  • no I think he's trying to say that if someone doesn't believe in God they can ring the bell.

  • Why would someone not be able to ring the bell because they believe in God?

  • no it's not

  • Because people who believe in God are too busy praying to use their hands for anything else. People who don't believe in God use their hands for... other things.

  • Not always, some athiests do useful things in their time and live meaningfull lives.

  • You might even find some believers who do useful things in their time and live meaningfull lives.

  • Interviews can be a bit mystifying, and you are under a microscope. This sketch is a very humourous observation of reality.

  • hilarious

  • 3:56. Funniest moment ever.

  • John Cleese is a legend.

  • Someone videotaped my Microsoft interview?!

lol, at least they hired me, and it's been this way ever since.

  • Don't you recall when you were notified, "I'm afraid not. All the vacancies were filled several weeks ago?" You computer guys are all nuts!

  • thats class

    hahahahahahahaha

    brillient

    lmao

  • The version from How To Irritate People has a slight edge over this one IMO, if only because Tim Brooke-Taylor (who is the interviewee in that version) is genius at playing wimpy, put-upon middle-class gents. John's better in this one, though.

  • hahaha very stupid. haha

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • are you fuckin serious? It s an absolutely brilliant sketch and it s only purpose is to make you laugh!

  • Does anyone else find this slightly sinister? Just picturing being in that situation. And to be fair, I imagine John Cleese to be bloody intimidating.

  • i would love to meet john cleese

but it would also scare the shit out of me

his fits of rage are legendary

  • Fantastic!

  • It's fuckin brilliant!!!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha

  • WTF.....

  • 5!4!3!2!1!

  • I've seen that one quite a few times, but it has me screaming with laughter every time :-)Absolutely love John's face at 0:52 and 2:37!

  • and 2:45 too lol

  • Absolutely brilliant!

  • hahah good night ding ding ding ding ding ding

  • 666 ratings :D

  • Damn he was messing with him bad .. goood night a ding ding ding lmao

  • I had a job interview recently and thinking of this made me keep a smile on my face.
