  • This is a very nice compilation.

  • She was a true artist and a great coloratura/ bel canto singer. This is a such a rare combination! Brava!

  • Was anyone else knocked off their rocker with her performance of the Haendel? Can anyone else ever sing runs that fast with such ease?? Sills is even greater than I previously thought.

  • THERE MAY HAVE BEEN BETTER SINGERS, WITH MORE BRILLIANT VOICES, MORE INTELLIGENT SINGERS, MORE GIFTED SINGERS, BUT NOT A SINGLE SINGER OF THE PAST OR PRESENT IS MORE ENTERTAINING THAN BEVERLY SILLS. I MISS HER. I MISS HER VERY MUCH.

  • Thank you so much Coloraturafan for posting this tribute!

"Singing actress", musician, definitly a queen! In her mother life as well as on stage she was sensibility and intelligence. still enthusiast few days before her death we miss her so much!!!

  • Bev died on my birthday 3 years ago.

She continues to be my favorite operatic artist of all time.

I will be doing the 2010 Hustle up the Hancock in Chicago , again in her honor.

Was the best of the best!

  • Too bad there aren't 10 stars to click above! What a gorgeous voice. What amazing technique. What incredible stage presence. And what joy. Bravissima!

  • Thank you so much for putting this together! She was the world reigning soprano and she is sorely missed!

  • Brava! The Linda di Chamounix revels the core of Beverly's exceptional bel canto artistry, her greatest gift - the intrinsic JOY in her voice - she was in heaven long before she got there, every time she gave voice to this music ... thanks for sharing that joy with us Beverly.

  • What beauty and control! Sills was a master...mistress! Thanks so much for posting this tribute!

  • Imagine what her voice teacher thought when hearing this voice. Probably something like: HOLY SHIT!

  • "Bubbles" was one of the first operatic singers that brought ,,Acting to the operatic stage. Many times it it was was in the ...Bigger-than-Life form from the age of silent movies;yet, live opera fans today owe her many thanks for her combination of the two arts.

  • I don't much care for the embellishments in the Lucia. But I have always adored Baby Doe, which I got to sing in college (well, I wasn't Baby Doe, as I'm a baritone, but I was in the chorus).

  • I love the feathers

    lol

  • This is Stupendous! Just like Sills! Bravo to you and Brava to La Bubbles. We shall never see her like again!

  • Thank you for putting together all those performances of her...

    Jorge

  • Dillon, I'm not sure where you find all these gems, but please never stop- They and you are wonderful! Ernesto

  • I like to think albeit erroneously that I AM her greatest fan. She certainly WAS America's best and just for the record most intelligent, and even more , biggest fund raising, soprano ever. She will NEVER be equalled in any of those categories and there are more if anyone wants to argue.

  • Amen! The FIRST opera singer I heard was dear Bubbles singing Traviata. I was instantly a convert, and now a lifelong fanatic. I have gone on to love many other singers, but Beverly remains number 1 (Leontyne follows a close 2nd). Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks for that. Our home was filled with Joan, Leontyne, Maria ,Renata and Montserrat recordings too. What glorious days they were, you knew instantly who was singing because they were all so different and exciting. Bev remians my No 1.

  • Thank for posting this. Very interesting

  • Brava, thank you for another great video coloraturafan!

  • Though I'm not a great fan of hers, she remains one of the best American singers of all times.
