  • Old but Gold, remember me of Old Times :D

  • I think Cranius is one of the best Artist for thinks like this.

    I love him :)

  • Thumbs up if you want Stratholme as a Capital City for the Argent Crusade !!!!

  • @WorldSexiestGamer2 That would be cool :) But they first need to cleanse it from all the Undeads that still run around there :P And maybe keep the dungeon with the horse in, or i will have to grind that dungeon...

    ... Im on it...

  • @Cinderbloom Well when you do the quest they say, this is gone be the capital of crusade and you cleansed it when you finnished the dungeon :D

  • Darrowshire was the site of a battle during I forget which WarCraft game but the Alliance and Orcs fought in trenches i believe.

  • watched this video before i ever went to darrowshire...got there and went OMG I KNOW THIS PLACE

  • Manly tears.

  • you are just amazing man im almost crying ffs !!!

  • From era when Blizzard still made stories, instead of constant stream of references.

  • @Wiliraughshai alot of the cataclysm questing has good story imo

  • @megamage911 I can think of only one or two good storylines. The rest fall into mediocracy of either trying too hard to be AWESOME or over-blown popular culture reference. On top of that, majority of the storylines worth mentioning in Cataclysm are those that were already in during vanilla but the drooling droneling population were too lazy to read into.

  • what armor is that?

  • @YepX I believe it's warrior's Arena season 1 from BC.

  • I recently quested here for my Night Elf hunter. I found it so sad to see that little girl. D:

  • Still easily my favourite quest line, I got shivers first time I did it in 06

  • That Question who interestet me... do Cranius plays roleplay? This ideas, i think, dont came from alone... i love Cranius-Songs... subscribe :D

  • I realy hate Wow ! I want Warcraft 4 !!!! A what I get ? Panda story with evil Panda god !! OMG :D

  • @Brucknerius Good to be rid of kiddies like you I say. And hating WoW but wanting Warcraft 4 is beyond stupid.

  • @Bastarden I love WoW, Yet Warcraft and Starcraft Franchises are the one I can't quit ever. Warcraft 4, Hell yeah.

  • @Bastarden Is it really? Because warcraft 3 was 10 times more fun than wow because it is an RTS. So a warcraft 4 would be like starcraft 2, EPIC.

  • However, I miss the old zones and leveling. People want to rush past leveling today, while I prefer to feel like I've invested time AND effort into reaching max level. Today it's just a small amount of time and no effort, seeing how you can solo anything in the world. Even former group quests have been nerfed...damn, I'm being nostalgic...

  • @Bastarden

You don't even have to rush to level too fast. I've averaged an hour a level 30 to 40, just doing regular questing with questing green gear.

However, just came here to watch this before I do the 'new' Pamela questline :).

  • @zeiss33 Indeed, it's way too fast and does not present any challenge. I think they'd benefit from having it require more than just a little time and being able to use a mouse and keyboard.

  • People being nostalgic make me sick. Vanilla wasn't better than today, that's only your minds playing tricks. New = best, then as time goes on it becomes more stale and nothing feels new.

I can tell that people coming as new players today, find the game amazing and in 7 more years they will be nostalgic about their first time in the game.

Vanilla was grindy, flawed, TIME CONSUMING. The mechanics on raids = NOTHING compared to what we're faced with today in the toughest endgame content.

  • @Bastarden In Vanilla you had to EARN your gear. Everyone now looks like clones with the same gear on. If you had epic gear you were an epic player. It wasn't the game play. It was the self achivments that you get when you got a good piece of gear. (Not the ingame achiv's)

  • @Bastarden Vanilla *puts on glasses* Was for the hardcore.

And compared to the pther MMO's around that time, It was the least grinding of them all.

But the grind has now been removed, all of it.

And Blizzard has been pretty stupid about WoW the last years, Listening to the complainers on the forums? But like only 5% of the people post on the forums.

WoW has lost it's glory days. Guild Wars 2/SWToR are taking over, And then Titan will take over, Probably.

  • This quest chain is probly the best one I've ever made, really makes me remember those times when wow was new and hard...

  • WTB more lore that makes sense

  • omg im there rite now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • people,,, really? are people really calling cata easy? i wont call it easy when still only a tiny fraction of the playerbase have done heroic content when it mattered, yes i don't agree with them nerfing the shit to the ground whenever a new patch comes,,, but still, that doesn't change the facgt that when the raids hit, they were actually hard, i don't really think you can argue that,,,

  • @megamage911 INITIALLY, Cataclysm was great, it was somewhat challenging (Not as much as vanilla or BC of course.) But there was still the element of skill. HOWEVER. The moment Blizzard released the hour of twilight dungeons, and the raid finder - I lost all hope in cataclym. Firstly, the Hour of Twilight dungeons are piss easy. Not once have I wiped in one. (And I've done HoT 25 times. Let alone the other two.) But furthermore, well - They're boring. They have no interesting mechanics.

  • @fatduck100 (I'm on a rant here, bare with me) Not only were they pipsqueak, but dropped pretty good gear. This made ALL raids except for Dragon Soul (Which I believe to be the worst one) obsolete, and eliminated any sense of progression. . WHEREAS I could have spent my time doing raids, working my way up. Instead I've found myself endlessly farming easy dungeons with no challenge nor unique aspects. AND NOW, I've got all the five man gear I can. and ALL I can do is Dragon Soul. No variety.

  • @fatduck100 true,,, i don't like the 1 raid per tier system either, but normal and heroic DS still has it' lvl of diffeculty, and the reasoning for the raidfinder is so more people can see the content which i think is a nobel goal, no doubt, the problem just is that it's SO dumbed down that when people have done raidfinder, they expect to into normal mode and just spank theire way through,,,, which is a very unlucky sideeffect, but i don't think the ds raid in itself is bad

  • @megamage911 I can understand that they want everyone to experience the lore. But, WE DON'T NEED TO. We don't have to play through every single part of the storyline - BWD and BoT were just as interesting (Better IMO.)Furthermore - Isn't that what gave some of the raids their greatness? That awe because you know that only the best will do it, and the hope of being one of them. Whereas now, even beating DW on heroic is lessened - as it's already been done in raid finder.(I'm done for good now.)

  • @fatduck100 yeah i guess you could see it from the perspective,,, this is just another result of blizzard caving in to those whiners on the forums who aren't good enough to do the actual raids... and are too lazy to actually learn to figure out mechanics and stuff,,, it' so very sad :/ if they at least would make the raidfinder just a little bit challenging, so far the only fight in LFR i had any trouble with ha been the last one, and that was because of other peoples failings...

  • @megamage911 Really ? Have you ever spent 2 months trying to kill a boss in cata ? No, but you did in Vanilla and TBC. I can still remember BWL, 1 too 2 months to get a first guild kill on the bossses. And archimond and illidan took alot of time aswell.

  • @WarSmurfs nope, i haven't, i didn't play the game before late wrath, so i wouldn't know about that, but what i do know is that 1st back then, very few people had a slight idea about what to do in raiding, this time around, so many people have SO much experience, they know how to do all these things, so it's hard for blizzard to come up with something new and surprising, and 2nd alot of those fights were initially bugged as hell, that also kept people from beating them.

  • @WarSmurfs also another thing,,, do you REALLY want to go back to having to fight an entire month to just down 1 boss? i don't really find things like that very satisfing, if i gotta be honest.

  • I believe that there should be a server that goes up to lvl 60 like vanilla , a server for lvls up to 70 and another up to 80, all with their raids and things before the next expansion came

  • I miss old WoW

  • personally i kinda liked wotlk. the quests are boring though but the dungeons and pvp were pretty cool. you just gotta make it fun.

  • @MrMrherropreez i must say i'm almost xompletely opposit, imo the quests in wotlk was the best in the game up to that point (obviously the cata quests are th far best now, still imo) the pvp was ok,,, but the dungeons for the most part was just boring as hell,,,

  • What IS that armor set?

  • @Comicaze247 - old warrior pvp-set. Same model(s) as T4, but different colours.

  • this is my fav'ed WoW song you have done! Classic WoW was 100% better in all aspects...

  • Cranius is still epic, maybe even orange...

  • So Im never doing that quest.

  • Mists of Pandaria is a cheap knock off of kung-fu Panda

  • @EpicGamingGoose No because the pandarians existed before kung fu panda even was a idea for a movie.

  • @EpicGamingGoose The Pandarens have existed since WarCraft III I'll have you know. Don't think Blizzard just shit-stormed ideas and popped up Pandarens... Mists of Pandaria is supposed to be an add-on expansion to Cataclysm. You should read up lore before you make insults. Thanks, and have a nice day! :3

  • @ReyneThaelarion But they were not really integrated into the game in WC3, which is why there's such a large dislike of it. Most people don't read the books made by Blizzard and etc, they follow the lore from the games they've played thus far. Basing an entire expansion on Pandaren instead of the new 'villain' is going to take many players time to get accustomed to is all.

  • @ReyneThaelarion pandaren was only a mere plus hero you could buy in WC3 and got no story ect if none has read the book. Oh and btw Blizz only reuse old stuff, deathwing? warcraft 2, what next ? a total addon about naga this time? WoW is technically over once you've killed the Lich King, the rest is just commercial stuff blizz add to keep people playing this game that all.

Oh and Mist of pandaria, an addon expansion to an addon to another addon of another addon... AddonCeption..

  • @Th3madjackal What about the pantheon? The old gods? How did it end with Arthas, when Kil'jaeden who made Ner'zhul the lich-king is still alive? And when his boss is still alive? I fail to see the point...

  • @Th3madjackal well, at least they actually try to make a story out of it now, back in vanilla, the story was all over the place, and tbc was a bit messed up too, the only good thing about wrath was the story telling, and ulduar and icc when they first came out, until all of the nerfs and shit

  • @ReyneThaelarion one drunken panda is a new race?

It was a joke in WC3 and its a insult to the game now

  • @ReyneThaelarion Pandaren were a joke made by Blizzard in forums originally, but it's popularity was blown out of propotions and they added one playable Pandaren as easter egg to the RPG styled adventure in TFT. Apart from that there was zero lore about them until WoW became popular and they were included into the RPG card game shit.

  • @Wiliraughshai Oh I forgot, there was one quest in WoW that was added as easter egg to the pandaren joke from TFT

  • @Wiliraughshai the pandaren was actually in WC3, chen stormstout, he was in the horde campaign

  • @Wiliraughshai and i actually read up on the pandarens, appearently they used to be close to both the tauren and night elves, but they were kinda pissed at the night elves after the events of the war of the ancients, so they exiled themselves to those islands and hid them selves under powerful cloaking magic that the cataclysm managed to destroy, like with uldum

  • @ReyneThaelarion your also wrong about the lore... pandarens were mentioned way before warcraft 3 in the warcraft books...

  • @EpicGamingGoose This Proves How Much You Have Played Warcraft

  • @EpicGamingGoose lol'd

  • @EpicGamingGoose They were gonna make pandarans the alliance race in TBC :)

  • EPIC!!!!!

  • this is one of the best wow vids ever ive always loved the lore of lordaeron, even though i play i horde mostly what got me into wow was my fascination with undercity and plaguelands

  • I get a chill every time I hear this song.

And I'll always remember my level 60 dwarf hunter with whom I did the first time this chain.

    Really great job,Cranius!

  • When I try to imagine Cranius singing in RL for some reason I picture him as Nicolas Cage...

  • Wow has a better and longer history then RL =)

  • 46 people was left alone in Darrowshire

  • Just started the questline in eastern plaguelands starts at Crown Guard Tower

  • come back to making music please i cant stop listening to your music please come back

  • we salute you keep making masterpieces

  • Each time i get to the Eastern Plaugelands on one of my allys i always try to find the quest that trigger this whole thing...

  • Im on this right now :p

  • what is EQ? and lore is what made wow great they kinda ran out in cata but if you think about it illidan got his wepons from pandaren so the next expansion has some lore

  • @killercatofdoom EQ is Ever Quest, and illidan got his weapons from a demon general during the war of the anceints which happened after the pandaren left.

  • @killercatofdoom well even CATA has lore(: mount hyjal for instance the new dungeons.. and even death wing has lore:)

  • @Mrmudicfortifacation Ofcourse, deathwing has lore. But its not interesting lore.

Basicly deathwings lore's just ''hes evil, he destroys shit. you gotta kill him kthx''

  • @iLegacy69 He is Neltharion the Earth-Warder, He has much more lore then that.

  • @iLegacy69 tbh he has much more lore.... he is corrupted by the old gods.... the pain he feels because of the world that is getting teared apart.

  • Rest in Peace Akemitis Helsbane, may his life as a Death Knight work better then his attempt at saving Darrowshire.

  • Why does so much blood come out

  • never thought that this quest will be that sad..

  • i can listen to this stuff alllll DAY!!!! its waesome

  • Cranius so what ya workin on next ?

  • im sry but the sister is being removed in patch 4.0.3

  • 2:00 favorite part

  • @Gulivan188 same with me

  • This is that one where Blizz grew some balls without turning into overly gory grimanddarkandgrim.

  • This quest was broken for me on my main, then I did it on my hunter instead.

  • I really hate to sound like the typical vanilla-lover, but it was Warcraft's undeniably epic lore which really gave it the edge. Whilst in World of Warcraft there are less opportunities to see this, but it's still there and still brilliant. This quest chain is an example of that. Even BC maintained a strong sense of fantasy and deep sincere story. To me, it's just a great shame that WOTLK turned out so bad, I mean the cut-scenes and lore was exemplary, but the game play was horrid.

  • @fatduck100 wotlk is better than cataclysm. don't you agree?

  • @MrLuminescent cata is the worst so far, lets hope that Mists is going to pull it off better

  • @fatduck100 man that is so true only i dont think wotlk f up the game i think it was cataclym took away yhe diffuculitey cant spell that so it wassent hard at all

  • @alki8tur / they freaking destroyed the story line by killing arthas

  • @fatduck100 The only downside to vanilla is it was rlly hard to level

  • @MrRKsmiley True, and I agree - Too hard. Some might also complain about raid difficulty, but I think it was fine. For the more casuals you had Strath and Scholo and UBRS. Which took up PLENTY of time. (Maybe ZG too.)

Then, there were the difficult raids. And the FACT that they were difficult made them so much more amazing. I loved that I found myself DREAMING of being in such raids in vanilla.

ANYWHORE. I'm ranting, but, yeah, I agree. AND Vanilla was admittedly flawed, as it was the first

  • This quest line and the wounded man in Stormpeaks always makes me sad when I do them.

  • TROLOLO- i cant do it.... i love this song too much

  • @isaiah123112 I now have a new found respect for Trollers.

  • Remove the game sounds from the battle scene and Ill use this as a ringtone!

  • @Felsmukk YOU WILL USE THIS AS YOUR RINGTONE ANYWAY! AND YOU SHALL BE PROUD!

  • Awesome Video. Cranius is awesome.

  • This quest nearly made me cry...

    I shit you not.

    ;-;

  • I love the kick ass scene bit of the song but the song it self is awesome.

  • this video proves that you can only kick ass while a guitar solo is playing

  • The dislike bar is the size of... Wait, where is it?

  • Whats the orignal song?

  • @Zarbro This is the original song..

  • Are there any tabs for this song?

  • were u using a pally or a warrior in this vid? cuz i want to get that gear lol

  • @mayjordeath1 You can see it's a warrior, as he uses the berserk move.

  • @mayjordeath1 Season 1 warrior gear

  • These great songs make me miss WoW.

  • great job

  • Have any of you seen the wolf with the sword through his skull? Hes tamable but he dosent keep the sword :( Hes my favorite pet on my hunter, hes called The Lone Hunter. On my hunter (Gilneanwolf @ Wildhammer) hes called LoneHunter. He is so cool ^^

  • I am so glad that they kept this questline in cataclysm

  • @Anthrawn They kept it? I've seen a lot of coments saying "too bad they took the questes away"

You know where to take the first one? I realy wanna do these questes! :D

  • @lovingkorvs I'll have to look around for it but yes they did keep it. Im not positive where it starts I have already done the questline on both of my main toons It may start in WPL like it did b4 but idk. You should be able to look it up on wowwiki.com and find out where it starts.

  • @lovingkorvs looks like there is an achivement for the completing the questline as well, its called Full Caravan. it looks like you start the questline from Chromie. Can't get a whole lot of info right now cause im at work that the proxies block anything that has to do with games :(

  • @Anthrawn haha thanks m8! I'll look it up a bit closer ;)

  • He have same voic with Johnny Cash!

  • It's things like this that gave WoW an edge over EQ back in the day. EQ was a grind-fest with little lore, while WoW was just FULL of things like this. Not that they really care anymore, it's all going to the powergamers these days. Kill this, loot that, get this gear, get that gear. But for me... it's things like this that made Blizzard a step above the rest. RIP Joseph Redpath

  • @ShneekeyTheLost I played back in vanilla (before Kanark) and what first amazed me about WoW was how little lore there was in comparison to EQ! I've been playing WoW a few years now, and there is a lot of great lore, but EQ has so much more! All people want now is to be PLd to the latest expansion and start raiding ... the lore of both games is something you should not miss.

  • @NightBear01 I played EQ pre-kunark as well. Had a nice little Human Monk. Getting my Wu's Gloves was awesome because I could punch those wisps for a GLS which was an awesome light source. The amount of Lore in... hell, up to Kunark... maybe Vellius... was okay, but not up to Blizzard's standards. After Luclin and SoE took over instead of Verant... the lore up and vanished, and was a thin veneer over loot and level grinding.

  • @ShneekeyTheLost I totally believe that the lore makes most of wow despite that most people dont even pay attention to it.

  • @Exerus And those that actually do pay attention to it have liked ya comment :)

  • @Exerus But Blizzard hasn't been handling the lore nicely lately either :(

  • @ShneekeyTheLost well the nice thing about WoW was that even the raids had a lore.... that makes raiding even more fun:)

  • thumps up if u can sing the hole song

  • its some of the most epic wow songs, that i ever heard. its a game but, all these emotions in this song are so real. Cranius have a voice of the lulz.

    Greetings of Denmark <3

  • @Dimension4music i dont like you

  • I still have the tea from the quest reward... I never could bring myself to drink it... especially when Hunters stopped needing mana. Instead I have it as a memento to Darrowshire

  • @voiceofbooks Wow, you're really, really gay.

  • @Asheskun if thats what makes u feel better about ur self then ok

  • What set does he use

  • @niols18 It's the Warbringer Armor. Warrior tier 4, TBC armor.

  • @Kelthuzad5 t4 is darker, thats gladiators gear, season1 warr armor.

  • oh pre-tbc love

  • ahh i remem doing these quest good times

  • i loved those days... wotlk didnt do many good but cataclysm really fucked up the whole thing... i remember spending nearly a day with some friends only to find out where did one of the NPCs go and what did he do...

  • You calling someone that reads on one quest line ''lore obsessed''? thats bullshit, i have been reading quests as long as i can remember, because i think the story is cool, just like others like Lord of The rings, etc etc.., And This quests are awsome, just sucks that they are way to easy now..

  • Sorry World of Warcraft. I was too immature when I started playing and I never got serious until you quit being a good game. If I could go back in time I wouldn't have screwed around at low levels for 2 years (true story) and I would have had more respect for you. Forever missed. BC and Vanilla.

  • @TobbzSC I can't really understand why you hate WotLK and Cata so much. True, it's not the same WoW anymore (I know what I'm talking about, I've started WoW at Vanilla times), climate and engine have changed... But I just like it more. True, not the same style. But it's still awesome, no "kill'n'bring" quests, awesome phasing with storyline (Stonetalon from Horde side was just amazing. Hyjal is awesome zone as well). You get more things to do after maxing your lvl.

  • @Magnus1177 Yeah but nothing in the game makes you feel like you really accomplished anything. Getting a new cool "epic" item. It'll be replaced by the end of next week. Everybody has max gear and skill only counts on a high level of raiding. It became too much of a "give me gear" fest. Just not the game I started subscribing to.

  • @DieRedo I still read the conflicts in the game cause i think they are epic :)

  • Why are there so many people hating on DieRedo's comment? I mean seriouslly, by saying that he's a nerd just for reading the quest text and paying attention to the game's lore it just implies that you guys must also hate books, cinema and any other form of interesting storytelling. This is honestly one of the most touching WoW songs i've heard in a long time, and half of the song's impact comes from the questline itself. Now quit trolling and enjoy the song.

  • @Bulldan I wasn't trolling. I was being serious when I called him a lore obsessed nerd. By the way, I do enjoy cinema. I do not enjoy shitty W.o.W story lines.

  • @Bulldan Thank you for support fine sir.

  • @DieRedo Don't listen to the immature Cyber Bullies. They usually end up being idiots who think just because you cant harm them physically their safe. I like to report them for spam :3

  • @SamuelWJohnson Cyber bullies seriously ? They are just stressed teens trying to find an addiction like cigarettes or even wow, and listen to music that fits their moods,in this case this song, and to complete the ritual they scroll down and argue with the 1st comment they see and start flame wars so they could just win a little argument to feel better. Yes, i study modern psychology.

  • Best quest chain, ever

  • it's a beautiful song

    i love this song

  • I still remember that quest, because when I completed it I reached 60 by the first time, back then quests meant something

  • I still couldn't find the freakin left side of the doll.

  • this song made me get teary eyed, i was thinking about other countries not the U.S. were lil girls have actually been abandoned with no mom or dad. :(

  • My bro loved loved this song, he died year ago in car crash and this song was played in his funerals.. Thank you Cranius.

  • FUCK QUeSTS GOLD GOLD GOLD EXP EXP

  • name of song i want it on my mp4?

  • i was sad when i first did this quest chain. but when i ran icecrown there was a smile on my face when we dropped arthas

  • the original quest line actually made me tear up a bit when i first did it. this just brings that back.

  • Listened to this the whole time while doing the darrowshire quest chain

  • i feel like going to moonguard and rp on darrowshire but cata fucked it up

  • rp with cranius dm

  • this is the real world of warcraft.....!

  • Lol

  • You can see pamela and her father alive, in the culling of stratholme they are in the inn you start in. upstairs. have fun

  • this is cool song :D

  • Close to my 40th time hearing this song and it STILL gives me chills!!

One of the best songs for undoubtedly the best Vanilla WoW quest lines!

  • Comment removed

  • this song remids me about the good thing in this world and in wow <3

  • I remember this one from so very very long ago. However, I've noticed that when you had the scene fighting the scarlet crusade. You had the sound effect of the newly added human male /roar emote :0 Are there any explanations for this?
