  • my hero as well

  • is that a whelen talon in the front, what was the price of the system w/o installation?

  • They are federal deckstrobes with a Soundoff digital power supply. I've had the system for a while. I think it was about $900 when I purchased it years ago. LEDs are the way to go now. They last forever and use very little power.

  • I have a 1997 Jetta GLX, and these are nice cars. Nice job

  • Thanks. Never thought I'd have a VW, but I like the way it drives and I needed the good gas mileage.

  • OMG you are my hero

  • Cool. Thanks !

  • great job!

  • Thanks !

  • What brand/model lights did you use? Looks great!

  • Thanks. Mine are federal deckstrobes with a SoundOff digital power supply.

  • how did u get the fog lights to strobe like that. what brand/model?

  • The fog lights are factory housings with the standard bulb removed. A hideaway strobe bulb was inserted and wired to a power supply. You can contact your local public safety supply for such items.

  • haha i wouldn't stop laughin if i saw that in person.. VW + cops + lights + texas

you need headlight wigwags and you need to wire the rear blinkers + strobes in the reverse ligths.

it's what i have, but not in my jetta...

  • Yep. I've had the set up in a prior police package Camaro, Impala, & Crown Vic. Fuel prices caused me to buy the diesel Jetta. It serves my purposes well to and from work and extra-jobs.

  • haha..that is bad ass..i have a 2006 jetta 2.5... and that is SOOOOOO illegal in the state of California...I think I am going to move to texas for the sole purpose of putting those lights on my car..haha..jk..cool Vid

  • Thanks for the comments. It'd be illegal in Texas too unless you are a peace officer or authorized firefighter/EMT.

  • Nope. Its a 2006 Jetta TDI which is based on the Golf V platform.

  • Yeah, I hate wiring too. That's why I paid the professionals for the install ! :)

  • I am a Police Sergeant in Texas. This is my personal car that I use for police-related side jobs, ie: traffic control, patrol, stationary security, etc.

  • itz illegal right?

  • Not illegal. Texas allows peace officers, volunteer firemen, EMS, and industrial response vehicles to display emergency equipment.

  • i think you confused a plane with those strobs thinking your the runway! lol

    nicely done

  • AWESOME.
