@J0Boa Those are threaded Flo-Checks (they also make them solderable), used to stop heat migration when the circulators are not running. If these were not installed, heat would continue to rise through gravity and give off heat to the zone.
There are other ways of doing this, some circulators have built in internal Flo-Checks called IFC's which would eliminate the need for a separate device. I use both on different applications.
@misterplumber I thought they were flo-checks but were not sure. Are they the gated type , spring type or weight check? What brand are these? I'm need some of these for my system but I'm still wondering if the gated type would be enough to stop the thermo-syphoning. I'm using Wilo S21pumps on 1" pipe .Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.
Looks like nice clean work,I personally like the circulators on the supply though .I was instructed by Buderus to always install circs on supply of system. Nice install none the less.
why does everyone in MA use Taco? Grundfos looks like a good pump.. I've heard nothing but good things about Grundfos .. People never give it a chance.. why is that?>
Grundfos makes a great pump also imho, we're starting to use them more and more often.
I like the three speed option. Taco pumps are readily available and easily serviced.
For a while a think Grunfos was more expensive but now seem to be competitively priced. I think they probably are a better pump, however not all suppliers carry them.
Um,wheres the location of thr bpiler? surely it would have been cheaper to core out a 100mm hole to provide combustion ventilation?
The fan in the can? what devides does it have to prevent failure? Ive been a gas fitter in the uk for 5 years and never seen one of them. Perhaps a boiler lockout should the fan stop.
what are the green things to the left of the air reliever?

@J0Boa In this particular application they are simple TACO threaded flo-checks model 218. These are not to be confused with a check valve.
You can google TACO-HVAC, Youtube won't allow me to post a link.
