  • Thats why you should avoid overloading the roof-rack. And take it straight down those slopes!

  • MAPFWH. The engine was fine once they removed the injectors and blew the oil out. Different Chris Scott. Cheers,T

  • Could he have turned the engine off a little sooner to save it? First thing to do in my book....................... I know A Chris Scott. .... Leeds based. Same one?

  • Certified bomb proof.

  • this is recorded with a toothbrush

  • Oh, sorry... Didn't watch the video, was listening to the song. I'll restart back to 0:01. That's when the songs back on again...

  • why would you ruin this video with that fucking song?

  • Good old landy. Nothing to buff out

  • And a Toyota saved the day :P gotta love Fj's

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Gravity, not just a good idea, it's the law.

  • you were suppose to floor it

  • Good job he was ok! what about the truck?

  • this music is getting me nervous :@

  • le paso eso por frenar....por lo demas el mejor cacharro con ruedas existente....

  • i think too much stuff on the roof was a contributing factor, making it top heavy.

  • Why would it NOT roll over.

  • G'day Toby, fellow Series Landy from down under.

Saw this clip in your 'Desert Driving' DVD with Chriss Scott. Great stuff mate.

  • Thanks Cobber! hey. I've a load of rellies in Newcastle. Never been, but one day! Cheers, T

  • Ah Newcastle, other side of the country from me. I'm on the West Coast, where the real deserts are :) Well if you ever make it to Australia remember there are loads of old Series Rovers owners here. We'd all have to do a big convoy trip through the outback :D

  • Salvata da un Toyota!

  • more power!

  • learn to drive better buddy

  • Oops, not enough right foot there then...

  • Thanks for your comments guys. Yes. Both occupants of the Landy were fine, thanks. Just hurt pride. Extra time in Zagora can never be bad! Cheers, Toby

  • poor seies 3 were they ok

  • I did a similar thing in Morocco 11 years ago. With me the dune I was on collapsed. I wasn't so luck I bent a rod and had to order a new one. It held me in Zagora for an extra few days. Good times.

  • the rover is over

  • Bel video! In Italiano diciamo... il momento del mona capitata a tutti prima o poi.... è andata bene comunque..

    Ciao!

  • Cool vid !

Not to be a spoilsport, but

one of my mates has the 110 TD5, and

    I always wondered:

Can a normal Defender handle a full roll, or would it's tons of mainframe crush the aluminum roof structure like can of spam ?

  • some of them have a plastic roof

  • hi, which name has the color of the beige Land rover????

  • the problem was not the land rover, the problem was the driver too nerves whit his foot on the brakes .

  • Too much weight on the rear roof!

  • it looked like a lost cause at first but enough people and a winch and you're good to go.

  • ONE LIFE;LIVE IT---DEFENDER

  • good stuff

  • Thanks Tim!

  • This incident is in Chris Scott's Sahara book isn't it?

  • Correct Rich. Chris was there too. Tom Shepard has also used the stills in his latest book. Poor Mahmooud never realised at the time that his little incedent would gain such notoriety! Toby.

  • Awesome, man. Totally awesome

  • All he had to do was gas it and he would have been fine. There was pleny of time for that

  • one,you didnt bring a cell phone with you jst incase? and two wierd music...lol

  • nice video but who added this noisy music, video zay da el mafrood mazika hadya khales bas fel background

  • looks like it was top heavy ..

packing heviest stuff inside helps ..

also not enough gas coming down hill .. my 2 cents..

good recovery effort by the team

  • adds a bit of character!

  • very heavy on the springs and i can imagine in the sand when it digs in your pretty screwed, but its a land rover and theres now damage :D

  • Hi, Damage was minimal. Bust door mirror and rear door window. It was heavy. We had been in the desert for 12 days carrying everything to support 10 people and 3 cars (2 x LR + 1 x Tojo) Soft parabolic springs did NOT help!

  • What was the damage to the Rover?

  • Seems very heavy it just tilted a bit..
