Hey guys Andrew Karpyshyn the author of the Darth Bane novels is writing one about Revan. It will cover the time span between Kotor 1 and 2 then after 2. I know it isn't kotor 3 but at least we'll have this book as to what happened to him. :D
I need a kotor 3 cause George Lucas is a foo. The best would be to make a unlicensed game that has laserswords instead of lightsabers...which is called ROTOK or whatever.
oh, Bioware won't be making a KOTOR 3. EA won't let them. The Old Republic is the only "KOTOR"(using KOTOR loosely here) game that EA will let Bioware make, as Bioware had agreed with LucasArts prior to being bought by EA to make TOR...
They also stole the obsidian team to help with Star Wars: The Old Republic. Which is basically KOTOR 3, just 300 years after the second. It plays the same way KotOR would, except you can play with friends too. Don't have to rely on people though, since companions are still available. If you micromanage them right(like in dragon age) it's pretty smooth. It's coming out by the end of 2011 if not sooner.
@GrimRiftStalker Old Republic isn't a follow-up of KOTOR 1/2. a true KOTOR 3 would be singeplayer, so many fans want to play as Revan again, or continue in the KOTOR universe(not 300 years later with this shitty empire that has star destroyers)
i dont think i have ever playing so many playthroughs in any game in my life compared to kotor 1 and 2 but along with making kotor 3 they need to make like a remake of the 1st 2 kotors with improved graphics because i would but it immediantly
@DudeDinge Yeah, LA said that obsidian was taking too long in making the game and made them rush it out. So they weren't able to add in the droid planet, and put in a bunch of other things I'm sure. And because obsidian missed their deadline LA won't let them make kotor 3 even though they'd make what? BILLIONS! Lucas is really getting on my nerves and The Old Republic online MMORPG is not the same thing people! It doesn't tell you what happened to Revan and the Exile! ARE WE CLEAR?!
Everybody, I am a writer who loved the KotOR games. If any of you know how to code, or can do artwork, I can do the story. This game needs to be made. Unfortunatly, BioWare is working with Mass Effect, and Obsidian is most likely doing the next fallout games. Let me know if you are interested in helping me make this games. The industry needs it, and I have some pretty kick-ass ideas.

And this is to everyone crying about the MMO. The MMO will be hundreds of years after KOTOR, I would say that is enough time left alone to make KOTOR 3. i just finished kotor 2 the 5th time and like all times i really wanna play a 3......great game with loads of potential for a 3,4,5...... but chances are very very slim

@firedevil33 they were making a Kotor 3 and even got most of the things for Kotor 3 done but before production came Lucasarts for some reason went through a difficult period in the company which ultimately led up to Lucasarts abandoning the project completely

@batboyjhg I think to be perfectly real, we need to get on a forum (probably multiple ones) and make topics, titled things like "petition for KOTOR 3 game to be made" and have a plea for the game. Something that says,
"This is for everyone who wants Bioware and Obsidian to start the project back up for KOTOR 3. Everyone in favor of this petition, simply post your name, and if you like, a brief description as to why you would like them to finish KOTOR. Please be respectful."

Another thing, Obsidian has actually said recently that they would still like to do KotOR 3, Lucasarts is the one who we'd have to petition and that won't be as easy.

That makes me wonder why...one of the greatest game franchises ever, won numerous Game of the Year honors, and the like...I can't see why they chose to stop with the Trilogy. And that was so many years ago now. If people are still talking about it, then I can't think for the life of me why they wouldn't want to continue and finish out the story. A good chunk of every subsequent SW game to be released, has sucked..
@batboyjhg I say a good chunk, because Battlefront was amazing, and so was Rogue Squadron. even Lego Star Wars...I can't think if any others were really amazing games. But, that's just 3...there have been a lot of SW games since KOTORs 1 and 2. I'll be brainstorming of a way to get in contact with someone from LucasArts, cuz this is really bothering me. KOTOR was my first RPG, and it got me into RPGs period.

the old republic is set over 300 years after the Kotor games, so yea there will be very little reference if any, its not a sequal to either of the Kotor games its its own game, from scratch.

They leave you wondering so much what happened to Revan? What happened to the exile? Also, I am not sure but I think they made reference to bastilla in KOTOR 2 towards the end when you talked to Carth about going to find Revan so I want to know what happened with that as well...

I really tnink a combinated effort with Bioware and Obby, they could probably pull it off with the best from both. The customization from 2 and the story and power of 1. That's the game that I would want. Too bad they're gonna make the MMO over it. The possiblities could be endless with the capabilities of this age's DLC. Seems I'm only left to dream.

i really hope that they make kotor 3 about a jedi in the mandalorian wars and you are captured and you are torchered on a mandalorian ship until a jedi cruser comes and battles with the ship and the force cages are deactivated and you escape and find 2 other jedis and you save them they join your party fight throught the mandalorian ship and get to your ship a jedi transport (since the ebon hawk wasant made yet) and youescape but then they start to chase you and..... i will countinu at my channl

I agree. If they're gonna release a MMORPG KOTOR, they need to do it as a non numbered version. If a series starts as a single player game, it needs to remain as a single player game. Make the MMORPG an offshoot, not a numbered release. Thats why I refuse to buy Final Fantasy XI, its a shame. I've been collecting all the FF's for years, and now I have an incomplete set. v.v

u can only unlock if u dont kill the jedis wen u meet them (im not sure u might be able to if u do kill them) eventually after u have talekd to all the jedis and made a plan to fight the sith and meet on dantooine u go back to dantooine and the door is unlocked u go in the door and the jedi enclave is in ruins. u just hav to get farther in the game to get there

Calm down. First of all, there will eventually be books on Revan and his story, in depth and all. It's not like Revan will drop off, unless a new somehow better character is created for canon, which I doubt. That, and I'm sure something about Revan will be in TOR, he was in the bane books like 2000 years after he "died", this is only some 300. As far as what the fans want, I wanted KOTOR 3, but I'm not necessarily dissatisfied with the MMO. It's going to be story based, pretty much like KOTOR.
Yeah I herd it's meant to be a MMO for the PC so far. They havent decided if it's going to the Xbox's yet. There is no information to wether it will be a continuation of the story or a new game but in the same era. My guess' are same era, new game, judging on the fact it's a MMO.

I guess people have just accepted it.
Another thing, Obsidian has actually said recently that they would still like to do KotOR 3, Lucasarts is the one who we'd have to petition and that won't be as easy.

That makes me wonder why...one of the greatest game franchises ever, won numerous Game of the Year honors, and the like...I can't see why they chose to stop with the Trilogy. And that was so many years ago now. If people are still talking about it, then I can't think for the life of me why they wouldn't want to continue and finish out the story. A good chunk of every subsequent SW game to be released, has sucked..

@batboyjhg I say a good chunk, because Battlefront was amazing, and so was Rogue Squadron. even Lego Star Wars...I can't think if any others were really amazing games. But, that's just 3...there have been a lot of SW games since KOTORs 1 and 2. I'll be brainstorming of a way to get in contact with someone from LucasArts, cuz this is really bothering me. KOTOR was my first RPG, and it got me into RPGs period.

You know what hurts the most though?
The game was actually being made at one point but it was cancelled because Lucasarts "hit a rough patch".
How fair is it that they still managed to make so many other games but not the one everyone wanted.

the old republic is set over 300 years after the Kotor games, so yea there will be very little reference if any, its not a sequal to either of the Kotor games its its own game, from scratch.

What I don't get, is how Lucasarts can say they hit a "bump in the road", cancelled the original idea for Kotor 3, then permit Obsidian and whoever else is working on this MMO to produce The KOTOR. If that's the case, why not let the idealists for Kotor 3 go back to work?! Is it not obvious everyone wants a conclusion to the whole plot and where it leads concerning Revan, The Exile and the Sith? Honestly, the excuses some make. Either way, this MMO is gonna be a let-down. They all are. Like SWG.

I really tnink a combinated effort with Bioware and Obby, they could probably pull it off with the best from both. The customization from 2 and the story and power of 1. That's the game that I would want. Too bad they're gonna make the MMO over it. The possiblities could be endless with the capabilities of this age's DLC. Seems I'm only left to dream.

i really hope that they make kotor 3 about a jedi in the mandalorian wars and you are captured and you are torchered on a mandalorian ship until a jedi cruser comes and battles with the ship and the force cages are deactivated and you escape and find 2 other jedis and you save them they join your party fight throught the mandalorian ship and get to your ship a jedi transport (since the ebon hawk wasant made yet) and youescape but then they start to chase you and..... i will countinu at my channl

I agree. If they're gonna release a MMORPG KOTOR, they need to do it as a non numbered version. If a series starts as a single player game, it needs to remain as a single player game. Make the MMORPG an offshoot, not a numbered release. Thats why I refuse to buy Final Fantasy XI, its a shame. I've been collecting all the FF's for years, and now I have an incomplete set. v.v

u can only unlock if u dont kill the jedis wen u meet them (im not sure u might be able to if u do kill them) eventually after u have talekd to all the jedis and made a plan to fight the sith and meet on dantooine u go back to dantooine and the door is unlocked u go in the door and the jedi enclave is in ruins. u just hav to get farther in the game to get there

Calm down. First of all, there will eventually be books on Revan and his story, in depth and all. It's not like Revan will drop off, unless a new somehow better character is created for canon, which I doubt. That, and I'm sure something about Revan will be in TOR, he was in the bane books like 2000 years after he "died", this is only some 300. As far as what the fans want, I wanted KOTOR 3, but I'm not necessarily dissatisfied with the MMO. It's going to be story based, pretty much like KOTOR.

Yeah I herd it's meant to be a MMO for the PC so far. They havent decided if it's going to the Xbox's yet. There is no information to wether it will be a continuation of the story or a new game but in the same era. My guess' are same era, new game, judging on the fact it's a MMO.
