okay ya'll. Im hard-of-hearing. & I learn that from my school in singinghands.. Im sorry you all don't like it.. this it the best i can do.. If don't like than don't comment it.. Just leaven me alone..
I'm sorry but as a professional certified interpreter, I have to say this isn't ASL. This isn't even clear sign language. This is interpretive dance which is a fine and beautiful method of expression but not something that would be considered use of the language of the deaf.
you doing good sign ..I dont care people think lousy or fluent sign language just keep think positive skill ASL ..you still doing well better than nothing wink.
Hello! I am the director of a sign language choir, and yes I agree that you're doing this very theatrically, and a good job showing the fluidity of the music which I like when someone signs a song. But be careful with TOO much movement, for example, your mountains looked flowing water because of the extra movement. Pretty is good, but still needs to keep the meaning too :)
I've watched a few signed versions of this song and though your ASL may not be perfect so far it's the most ASL I've seen here. I do agree you shouldn't bounce so much. I don't know how long you've been signing but even professionals always have room to improve. :)
There is also signing done that is theaterical. She did very well. The only thing I would say is try not to bounce so much. Your signs flow into each other with such grace that gives them life. Your voice ( hands) are like angels singing. Don't ever stop!!!
Not lying... but you might have been taught in PEC signing (I believe thats what its called PCR, PCE... one of them.) Its basically signing in English, as far as I can tell, she is signing in ASL, using a lot of classifiers and things like that.
ASL it is and you did a very good job :) i love to sign (ASL) myself :) i would not trade it (my learning ) for anything more precious :) great job :)
Beautiful. I signed Witney Hustan's "I believe the children are our future." in high school, and realized it was signed english. Regardless, I received a standing obation, was floored walking from the small class audience, and was filled with too much beauty no spoken word can express (with 'and' without the audience). Now I speak American Sign Language, rather than signed english, and the feeling has not changed; use whats confortable to you. ThAT was beautiful; keep it up girl,
ok xokenzii this is asl the way it was taught to me in school. what i do in these asl song is very important to me. so please keep you comments to yourself if you don't have anything nice to say.thank you have a nice day . Stephanie
I am a Deaf ASL teacher, and What you did Stephanie is in ASL....xokenzii is one of those people who "THINKS" they know what they are talking about. Don't you just hate people like that?? (Oh...lets not build up xokenzii's EGO)
@xokenzii She may not be doing true asl, she may sign the way you talk because i went to the school where the deaf went in my county and they don't teach asl really they teach the way we Speak. BUt either way it is amazing, i have been learning Sign Language Since kindergarten but i'm defiantly not this good
actually it could be ASL. it depends on which part of the continent you're on. ex: New York may have a certain sign for beach, but in California, it could be a whole different sign. just thought i'd put that out there
Very neat and great job keep up the good work :)

This more of a english sign and very theatrical but you did do some correct signs in there but a lot less movement would be better.

This is ASL signs in English word order. ASL has a different syntax than English...so it's not true ASL.
