Bush actually came off pretty well in this. Rather looked like the rude biased bully he was known for. He seemed to know he was whipped after Bush's zinger about him walking off the set. Rather didn't get the satisfaction he was looking for so that's why he upruptly, and not so politely, cut him off at the end.

Dan Rather is a humorless joke. He got caught telling another one of his lies, and got what he deserved. Over two million Vietnamese might still be alive if not for him and his lies in Vietnam. Scumbag..

This interview is all staged,sorry. IF this had been a REAL confrontation,Rather would be GONE by now!He did the same "front" for Bush JR in 2004 on "60 minutes". People have to remember; Bush Sr.was the head of the CIA,and they have many agents IN THE MEDIA. And I'm thinkin DAN is one of those agents.His role seems to be the "Honest yet overzealous journalist" who seems to always "Go too far" in his efforts to "smear" Bush.

I recently found this in my old VHS tapes. When I get around to it I'll post a version with better video quality.

It truly is a classic television moment. I remember it helped me decide to vote for the guy. Everybody was calling him a wimp but this interview showed he could be tough when he had to be.

Dan Rather should marry himself in a civil ceremony.

I wasn't old enough to vote yet, but I remember watching, and begging my dad to vote for him. I also learned a thing or 2 about the media that night too. I guess Charles Gibson didn't though- he tried to beat up on Palin last night. Regardless of what side they're on, people don't like it when a supposedly neutral newsman gets smarmy.
