Part 2 - Imagine having something like THIS to show the grandkids... might be a slight embarrassment, but on the other hand, what pride too. In the day, this band, Bros were HUGE. They were huge in a time without the internet. THAT alone is massive. Nothing at your fingertips, no illegal downloading...no YOU TUBE for God's sake... to be so popular in a time when you had to buy the RECORD (yep record!) or record from the radio is massive. Proud Bros fan and don't care who knows it!!
You know what, I get what they are saying.. for the time (80's) to come out and sing live on an awards show or whatever, was really unheard of. Kudo's for them for doing it. Sure the song is dated, Matt's moves might "look" a bit "gay" or whatever, but you had to be there man... I'm proud to say I loved Bros, and don't we all "cringe" or laugh when we look back on old photos? (Cont cause I talk heaps, see part 2)
I remember this like it was yesterday, wow I saw Bros 3 times and they blew me away each time, I met Matt once too and he was such a gent, I listen to his music all the time because it is quality, his voice was good then but is even better now, I will be there Matt when you return to do a gig in England, cant wait!! xxx
Loved this group, still listening to their music now and of course Matt's new stuff. Definitely don't get enough credit/ respect for what they did for pop music.
I have to agree. Bros were WAY ahead of their time. I remember their film clips, specially towards the end (Think Madly in Love) and it kinda bombed, then 1 year later that kind of video clip was all the rage.
I have never been ashamed to admit I loved Bros and still do. Matt's voice these days is so much better. I'll always be a fan.
Bros were huge, and I kno that even today if they were to perform again together, that they would ROCK!!!!!
Bros Mania all over!, all the way!
