@434Lillady Oh my gosh. I can't imagine. How is he doing now? My daughter had to have it once, but she reacted badly at first, so they had to give it to her twice as slow. Luckily, she had no long term damage. Glad you found our page.
My son had the same thing. My doctor said he had pnemonia. He also gave my son medicine that did nothing. I took him back to the er and thats when the lady doctor diagnosed him with KD. I couldnt thank her enough for helping my son. She said we brought him bak to the er in time. Today my son is clear of KD :-) Thanks to the woman doctor.
omg this made me realize how fatal KD was- i had an A- tipical diagonsis too(mainly just high fever and lathargic) -took alnost a month to get diagnosed. in a way it was too late- i got 3 cornary artery aneurisms. i am now 13. still on asprin, and still alive!

I had the fever so long I suffer from mild nerve damage. Its not really a problem except my penmanship is horrible. I'm 16 years old. 6"2' 230 pounds and I play football as a defensive lineman. Don't lose faith if you have a child with the worst possible sickness. Anything could happen
I had this disease when I was four. Except when they diagnosed me with KD it was too late. The doctors told my parents to take me home and make me as comfortable as possible until I...well died. So I had these symptoms. Hands and feet splitting open. But I had the earlier stages of congestive heart failure. My heart was enlarging to about twice the size of a normal child's. One day my fever just broke and I regained consciousness.
my son had a worst case of KD than your daughter IVIG didn't help him we caught it early but he was not responding to the treatment! I never heard of KD before this month it was very scary but my son was very brave through it all! Thank God theres something to help the kids but i wish they had a machine to detect it!
my daughter had KD in Feb 2010 aged 20 months. Luckily drs picked up on it quiet early. I hope people are more aware of this desease. i went to 3 different drs before one finally diagnosed her. until then it was "just sit and wait"... i cannot imagine loosing a child bit we were very close. well done for making a great clip.!
I actually had this when I was 5 years old, I am now 31. Luckily my Dr. did know what it was and was sent to the hospital right away. I have no lasting heart problems at all. I guess I never knew how lucky I was.

@mayknmusic He is doing great. we took him back december 1st and the doctor said everything is back to normal.
