i wanted this one badly..but only dark-haired version with blue equipment because already from childhood did not like blond haired ones with pink clothes..but in our country mostly blond ones were imported...and my sister had this Barbie. then i remember, i got a doll with snowboard, mount ski and ice skates, all in one box... blond, but i did not care anymore...mother spent all her salary to get it to my 10th b-day! now im very good snowboard rider, due to this doll!

There was another Inline Skating Baribie before this, too. I had the other one. Her legs were not bendable. But she was beautiful and her skaters also had a lightning. She was called Rollerblade Barbie, I think.

Yes, the blades sparked, similar to a lighter. You know how a lighter sparks, not the flame. Anyways, thats how it looked. You had to apply a bit of pressue to the doll so the skate would spark.

Ha! I still have my original rollerblading barbie with the sparking skates, though she and her gear were long since mixed in with the rest of my Barbies. I'm positive I still have the skates--I think they were recalled as a fire hazard. XD
