Hey smartguy,

Laiho uses SIGNATURE pickups, not regular HZ's!

It's never the letters that make the sounds, its the pu's...

And after years of listening to good and bad guitars, I decided (just like many many other guitarists that I know) that the HZ's suck to my ear.

Sure, its the sound-setup too, on the amp. But mainly the "Pickup-sound" thats coming in, sounds ugly to me. Nevermind!

@Blader999 yeah he has the signatures now, but his old signature modesl had HZ H4's and HZ H2's. and after my years of listening to good and bad guitars i realized... there are no good or bad guitars. just good or bad players. wood is wood, wiring is wiring. disortion is distortion. it's all about how confident you are in your playing, and your knowledge in music theory. i play a dean evo XM with stock pickups with a bugera 1990 and it sounds amazing.

I play a Schecter C1 Hellraiser which comes with the EMG 81/85 Zakk Wylde set. the thing gets artificials like no other. Has really good tone and the neck pickup is as warm as anything i've heard. Not a gibson but pretty freakin good so if you were to buy anything i'd say save up for the 81/85's it will be worth the wait.
