@hawktor001 the cat in all likelihood is fine physically but traumatized mentally by either abuse or some other event. You'd be surprised how well they can be rehabilitated with some time and effort. It's not equivalent to "letting someone bleed out".

Give that cat a few months of love, training and patience and the results would shock a lot of people.

That cat's reaction towards a human was one of fear. As a shelter worker you should (but don't) have empathy towards this concept. Unfortunately, you think it's funny.
