Umm I was a gymnast for the past nine years and as everybody knows it.. gymnast have a very muscular shape to them..for me I have really broad shoulders for a female 16-17in long... I feel very uncomfortable about my body as a freshman in High school... some clothes that I have I dont even wear because I feel like a MAN in it...so if somebody feels like they relate to me please comment or like...I hope I'm not the only one:(

@dianafeiteira Hello! I like dresses that have v-necks/deep scoops and flare around the bottom/have a fuller skirt (or brighter bottom & black on top). The Limited is having a great sale and their Printed Skirt Shirt Dress & Cap Sleeve Sheath dress look pretty good on me (I think so anyway xD). I normally avoid cap sleeves but the Vneck on the latter dress was perfect~ It's funny b/c I am in a huge one-piece dress kick right now so it was especially cool to your question pop up ^_^

Okay I need help because Im a dude, and I have huge shoulders, and yet Im in shape, but everything I wear seems to make me look like a box. I have researched online, as I have lost weight, and now that my stomach is flat and toned, I don't want to keep looking like a box, but online it seems to cater to women. So any tips? I know about Vnecks, and tailoring, but what about for us guys in need of fashion help??/ Hellp? I don't necassarily want to hide my shoulders, I just want symmetry!

@Davylp You could work with colors - maybe try wearing darker tops and lighter wash jeans. You could try wider pant legs as well, though you probably don't want to go TOO baggy. If you have problems looking like a box you might try wearing more form fitting tops, especially if you have muscles. Tighter tops may give a little more "curve" to your natural waistline. Honestly, this is a little out of my realm of experience & seriously, I've never heard a girl say a guy is "too boxy" ^_~

My shoulders are 42 inches around, and my hips/butt is 39 inches around. I think my shoulders are 2 inches wider than my hips, if you're not going with circumference. Does that count as broad?

@xdearlifex I would say that the exact measurement of the shoulders don't matter as much as the SHAPE of your body Looking back on the video, I think I was rather misleading by mentioning my shoulder width. If I could make this video again, I'd say that I have broad shoulders b/c I have a 36 bust and 32 hips (and prolly not mention my exact shoulder width at all). Aka I have a V-shaped body. By looking at your measurements, you r V-shaped/broad shouldered as well ^_^ but hey...it's not about

15 inches across? That doesn't seem broad at all.

I don't think that you have broad shoulders rather you have small/slim hips. So in contrast they seem broader. Concentrating on building up the lower half of one's body visually via more bulk i.e. textures/patterns/colours is the key if one has a smaller lower body.

@ExoticCalli I reckon you're right in the regard that 15in may not necessarily be wide to some people. However, I do stand by my statement that I have broad shoulders because my hips are far slimmer (aka I have a V-shaped body). I think I was rather misleading about that in the video :(

How do you know if you have broad shoulders? Mine are about 15 inches across too but they seem to be in proportion with my hips

Usually I feel so uncomfortable with my shoulders. I didn't notice it was wide until recently and have No idea how to dress to enhance them. But this helped alot.
