It's not fake. He took lessons from the local guitarist for half a year. And then he watched video tapes and practiced and practiced. He likes playing the guitar very much.

He sounds like Gilbert because hes playing Gilbert tunes. He starts off with BRO then goes into Frenzy both Racer X songs. This is way impressive even if it isnt to your taste. He pretty much has those Gilbert licks down note for note, i'm a huge PG fan and it would take me ages to learn those tunes.
