Outra, granir não é uma operação só de limpeza, ela prepara o grão para o trabalho. Esse grão pode ser aberto ou fino, dependendo da preferência do artista. Como você trabalha as suas pedras???
Realmente não é muito barato, é difpicill encontrar as pedras e as prensas. Existem substitutos mas não tem o encanto da técnica tradicional que se parece muito com uma alquimia. No entanto, vocês está na Europa e a Espanha é um ótimo lugar para se aprender a técnica.

I want to know what causes over-inking. I had a delicate image made with #5 crayons and after 9-10 impressions it became really dark. I tried to clean the stone by rolling the ink faster but it didn't work.I got worse. I could only save it by taking out the ink by hand, without any chemicals. The strange thing was that I was only inking 2- 3 times before printing. Could you give me advise? I suspect the first etch was too strong. It had 17 mg of phosphoric acid.
It can have been the sensitization with the acid one. I make 12 scales with the Fosfórico. It can have been the ink... You prepare its ink? It cannot be consistent excessively. Also it can have been the Rock/aluminum. I always keep... Always humid. It can have been a little of each possibility. At last... It is pure alchemy!
Of where I am alone I can send good vibrations for its next drawing! Luck!
Here in Brazil it is very hot... We always leave the humid rock to guarantee. As much the rock as the paper is umidecidos before the impression. Any debt enters in contact. Grateful for the comment!

na granitagem, é ótimo adicionar um pouco de detergente junto com o abrasivo. Assim não se perde muito dele.

Thanks for the reply! I confirmed it was over-etching. Also, the ink was too soft because of high temperatures.

Why add more water to the stone before the paper? I never do that.

I live in Norway. Cold here. But I dont use dry paper. Much better print with a little wet paper.

We also wet the paper before the impression. Sometimes we add glycerin in the water when the days are hot and dry.

I see. I know what glyserin is. Do you make the ink stiffer by adding chalk or someting?

In Brazil we make the ink "4" lithography and Metal... We use the typographical ink and we add to magnesium chloride and a little of mordant varnish.
