  • she's out of breath because she's going at max or near max heart rate. that's the whole point of interval training. you tend to be gasping for breath a lot. but the buzz from it is amazing.

  • Ya some people will thumbs down you because it's a Zuzana video, but you're right. Seriously, my bball coach had us skip rope on L leg and R leg for 2.5 minutes each so for the length of the video w/o rest.

  • I use the timer in my sports watch. the disadvantage is that it can't go 20s-10s. so i set 10s all the way and work through the 'beep' for the 20s part.

  • Don't know about the calories, but this exercise burns your stomach and your thighs like a motherfather. It's pretty stressful on the knees though, much more so than jogging.

  • Yes you can, but you have to eat very carefully and belive me if you do high intensity your not going to do 45 minitues. :)

  • I always get really out of breath when I work out. I always feel embarrassed, because it seems like others don't even break a sweat, or aren't breathing heavily. I feel like people will judge me if I breathe heavily after only a minute or so. I like watching this, because seeing you - someone who is in great shape - out of breath actually makes me feel better about breathing heavily during my workouts.

  • When was the last time you had a complete physical done by your physician? I'm not a fitness expert, but that could be a sign you are doing too much too soon.

  • I have tried to jump-rope for 2-min straight. After about 20 secs, the rope gets tangled on my feet. I suck at it.

    For everyone saying jump rope is difficult. Remember, practice makes perfect. Just keep doing it. Do it slowly if you have to. The frustration is the most important part of the learning.

    If you're worried about people watching, remember, they won't be laughing when you're doing ten minutes straight two months later.

  • Round timers are a HUGE help with interval or circuit training. To anyone who doesn't already have one, get one- it will help a lot.

  • Ya, I would never use a rope like she is using. I've got a beaded jump rope. That prevents tripping. A good video for jumping rope is the RopeSport series.
