i work at mcdonalds and i cleaned underneath the grills after them not being cleaned for over 4 months and i saw the same thing with chicken nuggets and various meats but its because the grease acts as a preservative and the almost cm high pool of grease under the grill had no sign of decaying anywhere!! its wierd as shit though

I have to complain a bit about the Supersize Me reference. If you watch the video, he closes the lid on the containers to the food. Because of this, the only way that any food could rot is from the bacteria that was already on it. This means that the burger he purchased from the street vendor, that rotted very quickly, actually had a lot more bacteria than the big mac, which took much longer to rot. As for the fries, they were very clean, because they were cooked in oil, 100% surface covered.
