  • does the steam notification noise at 0:03 trip anyone else up?

  • So good. If any phone maker use that UI with Tegra and imports here to the US I dont care which service I have to use. Just give us the phone and you'll get the money. Know what I'm saying Nvidia? :)

  • 1. stfu

  • there are rumors from HTC roadmap leak that they are working on a device codenamed Superstar u can google it... and it will be based on the NVIDIA chipset maybe released this summer?!hope so;)

  • If nVidia will make their own phone with their own OS and with their own chip.. I'll stop thinking. what phone is better, because it'll be awesome. Really cool technology and great interface. Can't wait to get one :)

  • this is a phone call nvidia tegra other phones cant have this chip it was man to be a smartphone it cost $250 its has a 4 inch screen its very cool

  • NVIDIA Tegra is not a phone you cunts... it is a chip NVIDIA made which, btw, is lincensed by WinMo.... stop telling ppl bs .......

  • Tegra is a platform ;)

  • I don't know why anyone would abandon the WinMo platform, it has always been the most robust of all, albeit most anoying as well. But you can do just about anything with it. Also on the HTC note, I just thought I would plug here, I was an HTC fanboy too, but thought I would try the samsung omnia i910, and aside from verizon locking the GPS, this is the best winmo phone out imho. Though I do use touchflo on it;-)

  • Does anyone know the first consumer devices using this chip?

I agree with firkinfedup, wish the HTC Diamond had one inside, i do hope HTC adopt this for future lines of phones.

I think most of all, i'm in love with the idea of OpenGL ES 2.0 support on mobile devices. Something about writing shaders on the phone really does it for me :)

I guess ill have to buy one. Hopefully in HTC flavor.

  • I agree, in order to beat there competitors they really need to up the bar.

  • Yep. It comes with WM7 aprox end of 2009.

OMAP 3430/3440 will be earlyer here and will be stronger (1100mips vs 900mips btw a 624mhz Marvell what is in I900 is aprox 90mips :D )

  • It's a really powerful mobile GPU it's just a shame Intel rejected their partnership the Atom and the APX 2500 would have gone nicely together.

Plus if it only comes in Windows Mobile flavours it's a loss to me I'm never using Windows Mobile again.

I'll just wait for the Moorestown processor it will probably be more powerful and better anyway and not lock you into Windows Mobile use.

  • I'd love to see this in the Touch Diamond.

  • (answer to greydot900): yes you can and you can play full on 3d games and hd movies

  • can i connect to the internet with this like iphone?

  • With this, you can do anything the iPhone can do and much more...

  • Im guessing that the iPhone uses flash .flv animation to move around the ui, Tegra will be using 3d rendering in OPENGL i think.

  • Yeah, everybody gets that it's a video display for chrissakes. The actual unit is huge. It looks retarded.

  • personally I'd rather buy power

iphone suck imo....i'll re-evaluate it when they release it in 3g

  • It's a big screen simulation of a UI that is designed to be on a phone. Can't you read?

  • Pretty sweet!! I hope it doesn't have a hefty price tag on it or i will make it make me food and clean my house.

  • NVidia APX 2500 + Nice Phone + Android = teh win!!1!

  • Lol, it doesn't support Android, Only Windows Mobile and NVIDIA's own OS.

  • Don't crush my dreams =( Besides, no one really knows what platforms will end up supporting it. I'd be surprised if there ended up being no Android drivers for things like this.

  • What you mean no one knows what platforms it will support? I read in their own website that it will only support Windows Mobile and NVIDIA's own OS.

  • Android is an open platform developed by individuals and other organizations. It would be surprising if there were no unofficial drivers for exciting hardware such as this.

  • A little correction: Nvidia is making a GUI running over windows mobile; so they technically don't have their own OS ;)

  • Are they? Aah, that's a shame.

  • This looks sick. I just have one thought, a smart phone with an HDMI output?, is this just for exhibition purposes or will it launch with that, either way thats pretty awesome.

  • it will lauch with HDMI XD

  • ...but does it make toast?

  • LOL

  • awesome. Nvidia is on fire lately!

  • nope you are just an idiot american.

  • well i was very sure you would fall at least one of those ;)...if not both.

  • Love it.

  • People, Zytekfan said, the phone has an HDMI output, so the big screen is connected to the phone and is being driven by the phone, which is actually very small.

  • I don't get it...

don't you people notice that the guy is showing the output on HDTV screen?

  • What's your point. They're showcasing the new UI, do you think it would make sense for a whole audience of a people to have sit and wait to look at the UI on an actual phone?

  • The NVIDIA powered phone has an HDMI output.

  • quite big but stil cooool

  • It's a little bit to big, in my opinion ;) Nice effects :)
