I bet the floor of that thing is rotted long gone by now....no vapour barrier under the floor. No pressure treated where the wood contacts the ground.

Further, I didnt see where the interior walls are tied into the floor or roofing system. What keeps the walls from going "snakey" when the ground expands and contracts?

here in the US those are called 2x4's, not logs.

There are 2 different types of log used for log cabin construction "handcrafted" and "milled". In the US the 1st is popular while in Europe the 2nd is the log of choice. We at Logspan sell the "milled" verity because it is quicker to construct, easier to seal and still has a life expectancy of over 40 years. Cabin Cost - £8,378 in 45mm thick logs - £9,795 in 60mm thick logs - £13,189 in 95mm thick logs

Bitumen roofing shingles - £470

Cabin build on customer prepared site - £1,500

But all our buildings are DIY friendly and as you see we give you all the support you need. Hope this helps.
