yeah...I know, but at times like this it's best for a genius w/ honest ambitions to promote films outside the hollywood corporate market cringe. Mr. Gilliam is an honest indie filmmaker. If he survived his discord w/ those bad execs from releasing Brazil, then he'll definitely suceed.
I have that poster/sign that Terry is holding - I got it later that day at the IFC Center screening. Terry gave it out at the screening by asking how he was going to give it away - I screamed out from my seat - "The first one that runs to the stage!" He replied "What?" I repeated myself and ran to the stage and nabbed the sign. His response was "Carpe Diem!" It made my day. I found out later from his daughter that he hand wrote the sign himself.
I met him that morning at IFC. He was asking me if it would be a great idea to crash the daily show line. HE showed me the sign first, flipped it (to show the poster) and said : It means the same thing.
He also said that he would make Don Quixote if he has Depp, but sadly Jean Rochefort can't come back.
hollywood has nothing on him. when i was 8 i used to rent time bandits over and over again before i knew who t.g. was. i am 28 now and am still just as blown away as ever before. CHEERS to Terry!
This guy is brilliant. I have been saying for the longest time "its like we are in the movie Brazil!" Great stuff. I hope he tries once again to complete his Don Quixote film.
I'd rather see a Gilliam film that The Daily Show, and I really like The Daily Show. It's just Gilliam is much more interesting, and I get tired of politics very quickly...

Considering the movie he's 'promoting', he should get used to this.
