Hi, well my hair is naturally mousy blondey colour, Im think of dying it the lightest pearl white, is it going to work straight away or will i need to do it a few times?xx
@cheryl070 It depends on if you have any color on your hair already. If it's virgin hair, then it should lighten pretty easily, however it may take several applications to reach the desired shade. Remember to wait 2 weeks between chemical processes to minimize damage!
hi i have a question at the end of your video you said dont scratch ur head because when you aply the color its going to burn like crazy! thats exacly what happend to me i get my hair done at a salon however when i need to touchup my roots i do it myself,
but everytime i go to get my hair done its horrible!! it really burns and hurts i feel like im going to pass out lol they said it was maybe a allergic reaccion but im not sure if thats why
i have medium brown hair and dye it dark brown. I dont want to keep dying all my hair when my roots grow out but when it gets time to redo the roots the whole color is noticably lighter.. how do i stop it from fading?
Also, sometimes sometimes when i dye it the roots dont grow out but they fade and it looks really bad. But the rest of my hair is still the same color. How do i make it not fade there too? Thanks!
@amyjli Make sure you are using shampoo for color treated hair, also a heat protectant will go a long way. Another way to fade color fast is if you wash it within 24 hours of chemical processing and if you use hot water. Try switching to lukewarm water for when you shampoo and combine that with the color treated shampoo and heat protectant. That is a great starting point!
thank you for being normal. I am using some anti yellow tones toners but thank you for having a real video for people to see. I mean that in a nice way.
@vanpk most likely it would start out by being very brassy (orange-ish). It is a process going from dark to light. you could begin by using the light ash blonde shade and if it is too brassy then go to your local beauty store and ask for an ash toner to neutralize the color. It might take a couple of different processes using the light ashe blonde to get your desired color, but if you are patient it is worth it! Hope this helped and thanks for watching! Don't forget to subscribe!
... I dye my hair with colorsilk too. I have light brown hair. I've been dying my hair black brown. I'm thinking of retouching the roots and then only leaving the dye on the rest of the hair for 5 or 10 min. will be four weeks since my last be too damaging to the hair?
@evanefan6 four weeks should be just fine for you to recolor your hair. The rule of thumb I have always used is not to color my hair again within at least a week if not 2 weeks. Depositing color shouldn't damage your hair as much as bleaching or lifting color will. If you are still unsure try contacting your local beauty school and asking an instructor. Hope this help and thanks for watching! :)
Im relay confused.. I died my hair black (yes permanent) and its slowly turning brown. Is that because I did something wrong or is it fading? And the water is still turning purple when I wash my hair wash my hair. And I have had it died for something like a two weeks now. Its noticeably lighter.
@xXMetalMan666Xx Can I ask what product you used to dye your hair and what is your shampoor? A lot of different things can affect your hair color. If you are frequently in the sun, if you wash your hair everyday, natural pollutants, products/shampoo used, these can all effect how your color lasts. Another tip that I stress to my friends, is that the pigment fades the most within the first week of coloring... so if you wash your hair everyday after coloring expect that it will fade a bit.
Hi, so when you do your roots like in this video, do they come out at all brassy, do you have to repeat again in a few weeks? My hair is baby fine and medium to light brown and lightens easily, but it has a lot of RED undertones, so I'm wondering what it would look like if I used this Ultra Light Ash Blonde, do you know? I know if I used ultra light golden blonde it would probably look strawberry blonde but don't know what ultra lt. ash blonde would look like on my hair. Thanks!
My hair has alot of red undertones and it rarely would turn out brassy at the new growth. If it ever does turn out brassy, I would do some highlights on mine... either paint on or foil some on top. Hope this helps! :)
Thanks so much! My hair naturally is a level 6 or 7 neutral brown (or a medium brown with ashe in box color). I'm not sure what you mean by colory.... but I hope this helped! Feel free to ask any additional questions!
Hi question, My natural color looks about the same as your or maybe a little lighter. Does your hair turn orange at all from this Revlon color , and do you use a tonor with this box?.My roots are about three inches grown out. The rest of my hair is highlighted a white blond with my natural color mixed. I tried a strand test with Loreal Feria 110 and my hair turned orange. PLEASE HELP I CANNOT AFFORD MY STYLIST!! THANKS
It will take some time to go lighter if your roots are that grown out... I would recommend doing the all over color as light as possible and if you aren't satisfied you can buy an at-home highlighting kit to give the roots some dimension. If thats a little intimidating I would recommend contacting your local beauty schools and asking if they need models for hair color or highlights.... alot of times you can do that for free or highly discounted. Hope this helped!
i used this box but i think it was number 70 which was a darker blonde i touched up my roots & came out orange & def didnt match my blonde hair. so next time i think ill go with a lighter color.
massaging color would only irritate your scalp if you have broken the skin... for example if you have combed or brushed with too much pressure prior to coloring you will feel your scalp sting.
Thanks so much for this video. Very straight to the point which I like. I did my roots yesterday just as you showed here, and The results were great. I used to just dye all my hair every time but this was great I saved money and also got all my roots.
As I stated in the video, it is a process and will take some time to achieve your desired color. It's best to start by going one to two shades ligher with each color, less damage to your hair this way. They are good products, thanks for the comments!
I ♥ your hair color. I wish I could pull it off! I've got dark brown hair, and I've only really dyed my hair brown colors, and burgundys. So I'm a newbie lol. If ya don't mind, I may ask you a few questions, because I'd love to have lighter hair =]
u bitch!! i wantedd to see the finished look!!

@imamakeuplover I'm not sure about that... you may want to ask them to use a different brand of color. I'm sorry that is happening, how horrible!

I always end up with "cheetah" roots when I don't go to the salon for touch ups... I'm gonna try your technique! Good tips!
