That just didn't make sence. First of all, if an employee signs a non-disclosure it binds him/her, not any reporter. A reporter can ask any question he/she may want to, the non-disclosure only hinders someone from responding, in fear of legal reprisal.

It looked like a parking lot at a strip mall to me. And "the way it is," is, if there is a confidentiality agreement, the onus is in the employee, er, I mean volunteer, to comply, the reporter can ask whatever she wants. Duh.

I still dont' get what the volunteers were doin that was wrong. They were asking Mccain voters whether or not they were voting absentee or not, to encourage them to at least vote.
IS the issue because they were being paid? They should be paid, they are walking around town, dealing with the public.... not like most volunteers who sit behind a table passing out bumper stickers.

I think the issue isn't that they pay canvassers, which is common knowledge, it's people like one of the ones interviewed who was asked "Are you with the McCain campaign?" "Well, yes and no."... I worked in a Seminole County Obama office and got so many people who came in and said they were offered money by McCain but supported Obama and wanted to know if we could pay them. We said no and so they went and canvassed for McCain. Supporters or not.

im not going to defend "Rob's" actions, but i will point out, that this video was trying to make it seem as if they were saying they didn't pay there volunteers, when in the beginning they clearly said that there was a side with paid volunteers and that they had paid volunteers
and she was clearly taping on the paid side, this video is tasteless and uncreditable
