We have roughly the same size premium collection, but I can honestly say none of mine came from Ebay, or cardshark, and very few actually came from trades. I think I lucked out in a lot of my packs. You do, however have some very impressive cards.

I think I started collecting premiums avidly when I got my premium Shivan Dragon from 8th edition booster. Sweet huh?

@martmelee I still play on occasion, but only with friends and we have no sanctioned rules, we just play random decks for fun, even if they are illegal lol. As awesome as a foiled black lotus sounds, it's impossible to get one since wizards of the coast didn't start making foiled cards for magic till the Urza's Block. Black lotus is from Alpha/Beta/and 4th edition revised. They didn't have foiled cards back then. They didn't even have set cards back then ether lol. ^_^

sometimes you can use foeringn card but not always will a true magic player know just by the picture, i played a guyed and he had a lot foreightn cards and i have been playing for about 8 years and i didnt know any of the cards he had cause they where so old.... so anyway nice collection i still dont collect foils but i do have a few only due to boosters but not many :)

@bassman7530 they are pro sleeve binder pages, i got mine at a local card shop for about $1.50 per page. However you can order a box of about 100 pages on ebay for about $30.00 which is a really good deal imo. You can also use penny sleeves in a card box as an alternate way to start a collection, but nothing beats showing off your cards then putting them in a binder lol. ^_^

I've only been playing since the days of the Mirrodin block, but I've somehow memorized many of the older cards because I feel it was the best days of Magic - Mono black suicide, threshold, elves and burn- those were the days. And I couldn't agree with you more that Magic is a drug.

sorry man but i sold my collection a couple months ago, I had about 35,000 cards and i sold them all for about $1500. I only kept my decks and my foils. I would suggest going to magiconline, craigslist, or ebay and buy yourself cheap magic lot. You can get about 1,000 cards for about $20. Also if you have a local card shop go there and ask some people if they have any cards willing to trade,sell or if ur lucky some people will give you cards 4 FREE!!!

lol i remember dragon storm. My friend built a really cool angel storm deck. When i say angel storm i mean he used dragon storm but he also used the card (Conspiracy) which changes all creature cards in your hand, graveyard, and library into any creature type of your choice. So 2 dark ritual, and 3 sething songs later. Bam 8 big ass angels on the field ready to rape my face. Oh also just in case his angels would die he allwas had a (patriach's bidding) which brings back all creatures to play.

Cool, I just got into Magic its pretty fun. Don't get the prices though. I mean you can buy 50 cards for 14$ at a store or 500 for 20$ online.

Usually online cards that are sold around that price have random cards in them and they are mostly commons. Don't expect extremly rare cards for that price in bulk. However if your just starting to get into magic and don't care about prices or rariety i would suggest buying bulk of cards online. Oh just FYI cards that are sold that cheap usually take a long time to ship out to wherever you live. Usually it takes 2-3 months for the cards to get to you when shipped by media mail.
