  • Seems that 1400 has differant second engines at various points durring the video.

    Sometimes it has the FP7 B unit , and other times it had other engines

    That would be an F7B (or maybe an F9B), the P-Letter is not used for B-units.

  • Totally excellent! That sound is permanently ingrained from my youth. And my fave paint scheme too...

  • A-unit #1400 is an FP7, distinguished by the extra length between the front porthole & the cab door. An FP7 is 4 feet longer than an F7, to accomodate a larger water tank, & this is where te extra lenght shows.

  • Too bad only the uber-rich can ride thru here...bring back VIA RAIL Canada, where affordable train travel thru Canada still exists !! THIS is the route the Canadian should take, NOT thru jasper !
