  • What kind of guitar is Mike Rutherford playing? It looks so thin and it doesn't look like it has any tuning keys. Keep in mind that I was only about 9 when this song came out and that I'm a musician myself.

  • Living in Hawaii throughout the 80s brings back many memories of Waikiki Beach, Lewers Street, Moose's bar and Genesis music. I spent time with many amazing friends and strangers :) listening to this music and sipping on cool margaritas in the warm sunshine.

  • para bailar abrazaditosssss

  • Just that kinda night...

  • I LOVE this song... And the concert is one of the best that i've ever seen ...

  • Este mensaje es de Sofia: Hola amor... cuidate...te extraño....muacksssssss

  • An amazing look at what the world could be!

  • human spirit is till there!

  • p e r f e c t !!!!!

  • do you remember how happy, optimistic, and looking forward to a great future we all used to be ? so much for human spirit. this is ONE HAPPY CROWD. happy about their lives, gas prices, job opps, and just life in general.

looks like humankind has THROWN IT ALL AWAY.

    oh, what irony.

  • it really doesn't matter how fucked the world is today, how people have given up on their dreams, and how nothing but death and destruction of everything dear to us lies ahead now - for those of us who were around, the memories is all we need. fuck it, let the world go down, i really don't give a sh** - because I WAS THERE !!! i have seen the REAL THING, real happiness, and real bliss ... not this ecstasy induced drumloop shit people consider music today. so there. sorry, eerrrrrh, u missed it!

  • Great song !

    3 people don't like music.

  • Phil we will miss you... :(

  • damn.....this video is old. look at the hair that phil collins had...

  • @sldl04 look at the hair Chester had! :o

  • I love the melody of this song. It all flows together so well. :)

  • This is OK, But they should have made an official video for this tune as well. By the way, is there one?

  • An absolute tearjerker. Simply beautiful

  • What were the boards Tony was playing back then?

  • @arizonamakeup you say that as if Phil was dead

  • @MamboMick It's an artistic death... So sad...

  • I was at this concert in Wembley and in Berlin, Germany. At both locations, amazing concerts with amazing crowds. Sheer brilliance. I MISS YOU PHIL COLLINS and GENESIS!

  • was at Wembley, 10 rows from the stage, the night AFTER they recorded this.... fml

Was still the best live concert I've ever been to.

  • @barcharter Actually, the wembley video is a compilation of the July 2nd, 3rd AND 4th. so unless you were at the July 1st show, you saw something that was presented on this video.

  • @PhilGenesisDB Cool... So maybe I WAS there. I just remembered that the night before I went was broadcast live on Radio1, so just assumed. - I've bought this on DVD since I originally posted... Great gig, just fantastic... (and from what I remember Paul Young was pretty good too

  • @barcharter your a lucky man, ive seem them twice here in the states but nothing could top wembley!!!!

  • After first divorce it get's easier lol

  • Beautiful. masterful. perpetually in my playlist.

  • A great 'up' song, without being too heavy, fast and hard.

  • This Song always made me think about relationships!!!!! What do people really mean 2 one another!!!

  • brilliant group sadly missed but what a mullet lol

  • @tatsuk GO AND GET A LIFE!! SADO

  • My very first concert, I'm sure I can hear my self singing 'dee dah day'

  • Real good handmade music!!! Love it!

  • phil`s vocal improvisation imitates to freddie mercury last year on the magic tour at same wembley. i remenbered the queen s documental magic tour and phil cleary said that freddie is great inspiration for him !!!

  • un 10 para esta banda...... de rock progresivo de los 80 y que hasta el dia de hoy son clasicas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!muy bien por genesis

  • Some never realize just what they have until they throw it all away and then it is to late

  • Phil Collins is a Titan.Miss his music and Genesis. Is this Tour available in DVD?

  • @SuperFreakNZ Yes. You can get it through the name "Live at Wembley Stadium" because the name changes from the original laserdisc version to the DVD version

  • @PhilGenesisDB Thank YOU very much.Just bought it. ;-)

  • i watch the world go round and round

and see mine turning upside down .... one more time ... genesis come back to California!!!

  • I miss phil collins too :(

  • Need I say I love this song!!!

  • @MACHAWK123 Unfortunately it suits the situation that I'm currently in where my wife...whom I love....is leaving me, because she's drifted apart from me emotionally. She's throwing it all away

  • @finneas123 Sorry to hear that buddy, you work to win her back, good luck

  • Brings me back to my younger years.

  • One of my favorite Genesis songs!

  • someday you'll be sorry, someday when you're free, memories will remind you, that our love was meant to be, but late at night when you call my name, the only sound you'll hear, is the sound of your voice calling, calling out to me.........

  • @renzo7575 Amazing how much people take for granted

  • I watch the world go round and round

  • what can i say xxx

  • I still love this song and Phil...thank God my hubby understands...lol

  • wow

  • Chester's snare is the secret to this song!

  • Phil's voice is just...wow :| I don't even need to say it but it's so unique <3

Music was so much better back then...like, the way they're so in sync with eachother and everything's just perfect. LOVE IT :D

  • this is one of the best tours i have ever seen - Phil and Genesis forever

  • Genial !

  • Generally one of my favourites, but I hate it live with Collins on vocals. All that see-ah-laaaay intro stuff (or what he sings there) makes me switch it off at once. Glad, Ray Wilson never did that shit despite some members of the audience tried. Also, I miss the marimba just like in Follow You.

  • @rybnikpl I must agree with you, it's all a bit lower sixth really, but hey a wonderful song from 1986 :O))

    I don't wanna go......

  • I think I like this version best.... the synth strings bit is so simple but pretty...

  • @LCPStud They picked a nice synth setting for this show.... super mellow.

  • 2:58, Chester you rock man! How the hell do you get your DW kit so damn tight!

Fantastic song live. Genesis are one of the best ever!

  • FN' MAGIC....bands of today will never EVER compare to these trully talented musicians

  • Reminds me of my divorce, sums it up beautifully.

  • Now That's What I Call Music... Too...

  • too young to have seen them at there prime but listend to my mums cds one day and there one of the best bands ever great upload

  • It reminds me of why I got sober, I did throw it all away when I was a young man and now I'm 51 and I love living and knowing that I don't ever have to go through life with out feeling again.....Thank you for this beautiful song Genesis !!!

  • another great genesis track, really miss their music.

  • Very much agreed. Rolling Stones? Queen? Led Zepplin?

They couldn't hold a candle to Genesis.

  • @ slopeez08 - all good things fella

  • I really like this song, it reminds me to my wife, she left me a few years ago, she was a huge Genesis fan.

  • すばらしい!ジェネシス最高!

  • Thanks for uploading this! I really appreciate it.

  • great concert!!! im only 15 and I wish I was there to see that concert its great

  • @cody4622

I'm loving this. 15 years old and you can appreciate Genesis, awesome. I'm 35 and I love Genesis, but Phil Collins even more. Listening to this makes ME feel like it's before my time! Oh, to be 15 again! You go kiddo!

  • @cody4622 you know i kind of feel bad for someone like you who's just finding out about this band and won't get to see them live. idk if i should encourage more kids to get into genesis or let it be, since it's kind of heartbreaking to find out you won't be able to see them live in person.

  • Ahhhhh, the good ol' days! Still remember seeing Invisable Touch video at a stereo store at a shopping centre here in town. Listen to the whole album at a record shop, and though that First & Second Domino were morbid, and erie like Home & Second Home by the sea (which I think is none other than Crowley's House near the shores of Loch Ness in Scotland.)

  • this song still gives me goosebumps... While Its meaning has changed for me over the years, goosebumps still remain... That's what love does...

  • Beatles vs Genesis ok.

Chester Thompson vs Ringo Starr = Game over!

  • I miss Phil Collins :(

  • Very true. Unlike most 'modern artists' he actually cared about his craft and product.

  • @arizonamakeup

    did he died?

  • @LCPStud WHAT????

He is alive and well, thank God!

  • miss too

  • @arizonamakeup Me too!!

  • @arizonamakeup I spent numerous night drinking, eating M&M's and listening to Phil Collings.....when we weren't doing that we were listening to Genisis.....lol.

  • @arizonamakeup

Same here. I think he's pretty much retired from touring now. Sad....

  • Listen to this. Phil Sings, Drums alone, drums with Chester. finishes singing. Find THIS: Genesis - Seconds Out - Firth of Fifth (IN STEREO). Posted by s0undch4s3r. Watch the real Phil Collins. 5 stars for 28,660 views

  • 22yrs and I ready to throw it all away!!! I have evry cd by Geneis and Phil :-)

  • What a GREAT band they are!!!

  • This is great! I love them!

    Thank you for sharing Rich!

  • What does he sing in the beginning? Din a lääää

Since I've listened this song for the first time 12 years ago I'm wondering what he sings

  • @PhilCollins93: He doesnt actually sing anything at the start. It's just something he does to make sure the crowd is paying attention.

  • @blackarm21 Yeah I know but what sounds does he use? xD Funny but great

  • They don't make music and groups like this nowadays... now its all about glam and some fool prancing around looking like a chicken with their head cut off with videos that look like a porn film reject.

Those that are actually good are few and far in between.

Musicians that make up the group like Genesis make it good... and their songs would clearly outlast whatever current "pop" songs that are out there today as of this posted comment.

  • What made Genesis beautiful is that like the Beatles, they too came from an era wherein what you are saying was popular then too. They just evolved adding bits and bits of new to each album, paying their dues along the way and eventually polishing themselves to be this good after about a dozen albums. No artist today thinks long term. They want it all right now and it shows. Music today is like Supercuts. Sure, you don't pay much but you pay more to a Genesis type to fix u up perfectly. B)-~~~

  • I agree

  • they just make easy listenable positivly powered musik ...

  • @Mysterwright

Fuck off. Genesis are all top musicians. The Beatles couldn't play shit!

  • Incredible Band! Great track!!

I am fanactic since I was very young!

    Thanks for the music!

  • man I so love this song....

  • @capevideo 50 % of men have this bald spot so..what's your problem? Phil is cool and he solved this by shaving his hair off which looks great...

  • no problem at all. i love genesis and phil.

  • @capevideo Why then did you write that stupid comment?

  • Get over it.

  • Spitzen Lied

  • Phil was the best...some of my greats moment as a teen was with these songs

  • LOL Phil Collins Mountain.

  • this is mine and my wifes best song in the world we grew up with genesis good ..good times

  • need i say i love you,

    need i say i care

need i say that genesis rocks

  • @playalova +1

  • And I remember watching this live in Hannover , together with my first girlfriend, especially this song I remember as deep going under my skin; amazing light-show and great atmosphere - I still have the nice made ticket :-)

  • HIIII!!

I was in Hannover at 7.7.87 too!!!

It was a GREAT Concert! I miss the feeling!!

    GENESIS FOREVER!!!!!

  • Hi! Do you remember which were the "old songs" they played that evening in Hannover?

    Just wanna know. Thanks!

  • I remember watching this on a sunday evening, in Televisión Española... I was a kid who'd never heard of Genesis before, but I absolutely enyojed it!

  • Phil Collins is so underrated by a lot of folks in the "business". Early Genesis work solidifies his place in the drumming world, but his voice is stronger, cleaner, and more emotionally grabbing than the large majority of clowns prancing about the stage. He unleashes a true vocal cannon!

  • I disagree with you. I don't think he is underrated at all. He surely is a totally established artist and one of the richest persons in England.

  • wat year was this

  • This is why these guys and other great classic rock groups still sell out stadiums. Bands today can't dream of ever touching the ability of bands such as Genesis, The Police, U2, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Zep; ect.

  • Yeah, I totally agree with you. And that's a shame. I would SO love to experience something like this myself. The immense amount of energy is coming through even this old recording. What will happen after all those old acts stop to tour??? There is noone to replace them as far as I can see

  • Oh my Godness. Genesis is the best band all over this World. Great Song :)

  • i agree

  • this video was a part of me in everyway it made me see that its good that i did everything to save my marrage when my ex was cheating on me sometimes its better 4 a man to go to keep his pride

  • I am sorry to hear about your marriage and I agree sometimes it is best to just walk away. I just wish my sister would do the same when it come to her cheating ex hubby just let it go and move on like you did,

  • I'm gonna cry too :'(

  • I love Phil and this song so I think I will join in.

  • yea it's deelale!

  • Wow, I think I gonna cry....

  • i love the live intro's to this fuckin fantastic.............

  • hilalee!!

  • (people chorus) HILALEEE!

  • haha ;-)

  • The first part reminds me of Queen at Wembley in 86. Freddie does something similar.

  • I think it was for Radio GaGa right? Im not sure. That might've been for LiveAid.

  • Well, Phil Collins went to one of the Queen Concerts in 86, maybe he saw him doing that and liked it.

  • Phil Collins and Genesis are the wine and cheese of pop--better with age!

  • make it proggressive rock and it depends on ur viewpoint some people like the peter gabriel years

  • Q: Phil, what's your favorite potato chip?

    A: Frito Lay!!

  • Q. Phil. who's your favorite SNL player?

    A. Tina Fey!!

  • nice mullet!!!

  • It was the late 1980's what can you expect? lol

  • It sure was.

  • phils a great showman the crowd love him..........

  • First concert i ever went to been a Genesis fan ever since,,you know that sayin,,they dont make em like they used,,so true here, still have this album on cassette somewhere, wow but also on disc for the car when i wanna rock or just sing outloud thank you to the poster

  • Grande Phill Collins e fantástico Genesis.
