I think it doesn't really matters if you are Japanese or not, but you are right, that he's one of greatest Martial Artists. He seems to understand the sword much better than others (I mean that he could acctually fight with it, not only treat it as his untouchable soul ;-) ).

the things i like is that he has insane strategy, and subtle body movement, the hallmarks of any good martial art, and he has them to a high, demonstratable level

to answer your question he does. but you got to ask him personally before joining. you can get to him through one of his seven studios he personally runs. and allows. every student must ask him before they start

Kuroda sensei I believe does take foriegn students. James Williams of Bugei trading co. is actually a friend and student of Kuroda sensei. Both men are very capable with the sword and unarmed techniques.
