The COLB was made later and the proof of that is the type of print used. It is clearly printed by laser and not typed as it would have been at that time of no printers. Even electric typewriters looked different. Funny?

There need be no COUNTRY of birth because the fact that a birth certificate was issued means he was born in the U.S. Easy mistake, though.

You do understand that the State Department accepts Certificate of Live Birth as valid for passports. It is just as valid as a birth certificate. The only people it's not valid to are birthers.

In hawaii at that time all you have to do is show that you're a US citizen and you've lived in hawaii for at least one year. this ensures that your child will have US citizenship.

@megagagnon1 Actually in 1961 the health department required the DELIVERER of the baby, i.e. the midwife or physician, to report it. Not the parent. If there was no deliverer then they would've gotten a delayed certificate and EVIDENCE MUST BE PROVIDED to prove the child was born in the US. Even without that the lieutenant governor could make the decision with EVIDENCE. My question for you, though, is why is there a birth announcement saying he was born in a Hawaiian hospital?

@CaptainNeatbeard two things - If the baby is birthed by a midwife or doc, they must report it. back then it was quite common for women to give birth without any health care professionals. in that case you just have to go to the dept of health in honolulu and fill out the colb forms, and at the same time you fill out the birth announcement forms, which the health dept forwards to the local papers. and none of those two announcements say anything about a hospital

You can't just fill out the forms. You have to PROVIDE EVIDENCE. (emphasis not yelling).  Therefore the state has determined there was sufficient evidence and he's a citizen.

Therefore, even if he'd been given a Late Birth Certificate the Hawaii Department of Health would've had to research and check it's validity before legally being allowed to validate his natural born status.
