Joe Schmo 2 hit too hard with the satire, leading the whole "trick an innocent bystander" element to take a back seat. It was funny, but it might have worked better as a sitcom than a reality show. Joe Schmo 1 was awesome.
I don't know how they got away with having Jonathan Torrens on here. Everyone in Canada has known him for years! and Natasha is pretty well known now, not too sure about when this was filmed.
They maybe pushed it a bit over the top in this one, and anyone of average intelligence could see through it (hopefully!).........but it was still pretty damn funny.
This season was way too over-the-top... It seemed like they were trying too hard parody reality shows while trying to keep up the charade, but you really can't have it both ways. The first season was a lot more subtle, and a lot more brilliant.
Also, odd that they casted Natasha Leggero. She's not a huge star or anything, but she's one of those faces that you see all of the time. She does guest appearances all over the place.

it's not over the top as long as they cast more Matts and Tims and less Ingrids. Looks like casting dropped the ball. I wish they could have done more seasons to smooth out the wrinkles.

I liked that they used the mole execution music for the scene... made it seem a little more real, but still hokey!

Joe Schmo 2 was HORRIBLE! Less is more. The first Joe Schmo was classic and funny! It started Kristin Wiig's career.
