@oalemdemadrid How do you justify the prison industrial complex period.The public prisons job is punitive punishment,rehabilitation and restitution.We do a terrible job of of rehabilitating prisoners and getting them back into society as productive ,law abiding members.The issue that private prisons exist as a for profit model because the public prison system like most things not profit oriented operate with bad institutional incentives and goals.
