Irrespective of who profits from it and how much data has been manipulated, man made climate change IS happening. We have pushed enough toxicity through our cars and industries in to the atmosphere. It takes one minute of silent unbiased observation and thought to see that.

These solar lights is a scam. The person has to go to a recharge station to recharge their lantern. And the cost of each lantern is like $150 and the recharging station is close to $10,000 in the village. I can imagine that type of money being better spent.

Wow there are alot of negative comment... Did you guys take time to reflect on the DR idea alittle? From my point of view he tries to spead the ligh for poor poeple so they can have a better chance to learn, and by learning theyll be able to defend them selfs againts injustice and try to make their live easier and better. Knowledge is power!

not only poor people but all people should be self-sufficient. show why it is beneficial for rich and middle class people to become self-sufficient with food/energy/shelter/transporta­tion/etc. then make community based interest free loans to all cannot not afford this for themselves.

I believe in the idea of small, self sufficient, co-operative communities. These community groups would need to live a far more simplistic (and holistic) life than we currently do in the western world...

I am content to see that there are steps forward in lowering cost of obviously self sustainable energy methods. Initial cost of solar panels is very expensive and there still exist the largest problem...Theft. Very interesting, i commend your desire to help those people. Many of them don't pay taxes because they don't even own their land, so they don't get the opportunities other people do.
