No way we gonna allow Russian Federation to infuence the way we live. Putin is the biggest RUSSOFIL ever. This doesnt mean however that we should treat our compatriots in a mean way. Ethic Russians who live in Kazakhstan, officially hold our citizenship - they are part of our society - you cant deny that. I am actually proud of that!!!

Well, its like I say wonderful, it is wonderful too that they use bouth language....I read abot the country, they use bouth languages as official languages.....I only understand russian, im learning russian, but I think its good that Kazakhstan use kazakh language too, I just hope that russian language dont "die" in Kazakhstan, because many people how like Kazakhstan like to speak russian when they visit Kazakhstan, and many kazakh also wanna be able to spaek russian even they are kazakh native

why does this bother you so much? why do you so desperately want to raise such question? Kazakh and Russian languages in Kazakhstan are not rivals, they're brothers like kazakh and russian people. Russian gets under our skin, while kazakh is in our blood. We mix them. We can start a sentence in Kazakh and finish it in Russian, and we understand each other pretty well.

Yes, there are kazakhs who find it hard to speak Kazakh, as well as there are kazakhs who find it hard to speak Russian. It's a personal thing, depending on the region, education, etc. Of course it's hard to speak these two languages at the same time, they're from different language families and they are hard to learn, so one can be easily confused with their structure, but the main point is that we understand each other no matter what language we speak.

I find it funny, how we ourselves are not concerned with such topic, and the foreigners are. There's no danger for neither Kazakh nor Russian, binds between them are way too strong, and when you're listening to people's talking you can't say with great confidence where ends Kazakh and starts Russian. The only possible changes in the Kazakhstan's linguistic environment is the increasing of English, cause it becomes very important. In my town in three schools children are taught in English.

ok the things u say is good, but we shouldn't forget why 2,5 million Qazaqs died between 1930-33. so I think it was making one nation weaker than another, isn't it. Do you think it is small number to forget, personally I know it and will always remember it, because my own Granpa somehow survived at that time. Are you talking about me?? If you do, I am 100% norwegian even you belive it or not, even you want it or not, and I love my country Norway, and my language norwegian, BUT I am also intrested in russian language, and where this awsome language is spoken:) I know that russian is spoken in atleast all post Soviet countrys + Mongolia, so I know 16 countrys how can spaek fluent russian, and many of thouse countrys have one or two extra languages.

And in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan there are so many minority languages that I mean that it is important to speak kazakh, but russian too, because all of them speak russian there but not all of them can spaek kazakh, and not all of them can speak all thouse minority languages....and manye of them speak russian as their native language "rodnoy yazyk" and many of them speak kazakh as their native language.

I am not kazakh, I am norwegian, I learn russian language. And I know that not even all ethnic kazakh speak kazakh language, so if they sing this song in kazakh, mabye not even all ethnic kazakh people will understand it....I heard about some kazakh muslims living in kazakhstan, they celebrate kazakh traditions, but they and their parents didnt speak a word of kazakh even they was kazakh nationalists. Everyone speak russian in KZ I think, but only some of them speak kazakh.

Yeah. Its wonderful.....But they still learn russian too, right? And I heard about some kazakh people how also speak kazakh, and learnd it in school, but still some of them etnic kazakh speak speak russian at home and with their friends, even they are kazakh. Im not sure, because I am not kazakh, but I tought most of the kazakhs have russian as their native language, but speak kazakh too because they learn it in kazakh school.

No you are not right, for many kazakh people native language is kazakh and they speak kazakh at homes. The problem was that 20 years ago you can hardly ever hear any other language except russian on the streets and on public places. Now it's different now you can hear mostly of course kazakh language everywhere on streets, busses, shops. And of course you can hear russian or even uzbek languages, and if you are lucky enough you can even hear Azerbaijan, Tatar, Uighur or Chechen,

or even Armenian or other languages even English (foreighners). In vilages many people speak kazakh always. Of course, some kazakh don't know kazakh language but number of kazakh and not kazakh people speaking kazakh constantly increasing. The literature, tv programs in Kazakh are also increasing, Documents are becoming written in Kazakh too, and I think it's good.
