  • Hey, it can happen on a full-sized aircraft - Google "Avro Ashton".

  • Same thing happened to me with a scale 182 on maiden. The ailerons and everything else worked, just the ailerons worked in the wrong direction. Sent my bird into power lines. I didn't have time to correct in my head.

    Bummer!

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @Blueberry954

Prob reversed ailerons or radio interference

  • Time for a pre-flight check to same some money..

  • Oh well,....let's eat, I'm starving...

  • Reversed ailerons

  • FUCKING IDIOT!!!

  • this is why you check your control surfaces before EVERY FLIGHT, stand behind it and whichever direction you move the stick that aileron is UP :P. FAIL

  • bit of gaffer tape be like new again

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE MY RC PLANE CRASHED THE EXACT SAME WAY

  • Premature celebration! Way to increase that sinking feeling just before a crash.

  • "Hey Y'all, Watch This Killer Take-Off!"

  • The problem has to have been that the antenna on the radio was too short. ;-)

  • nice show

  • lol he was getting way too cocky...

  • Almost too painful to watch. The flight was totally classic of the problem, the mind says one thing and the plane does the opposite. Sorry for you loss.

  • I bet those hand motions were the most exercise those two lardasses have done in the past 20 years.

  • I practice flying with reversed aileron servo's from time to time. Might have saved this guy

  • Hold the applause please

  • Ummm....many thing went wrong here. Yes, a thourough and attentive ground check would have been the key to saving this bird. However, if that was missed.... a little altitude, a good spotter and a calm hand would have been able to keep this bird in the air while servo reversing was done by spotter while plane was still in flight. I know this from experience from a friend. We saved his plane just this way....lesson to be learned? GROUND CHECK, GROUND CHECK, GROUND CHECK!!!!

  • A little less time eating and a little more time checking control surfaces.

  • Lesson learned should be that a maiden flight requires you get the plane up high before you start turning gradually. Once you see that the ailerons are reversed, then it is very easy to steer the plane slowy with just the rudder to bring the plane around and land it.

  • oh NOOO!!!! such a neat looking plane!

  • looks like a skinny Mustang

  • @youronlycow Pilots not though eh

  • I had the exact same stupid problem a while back with a TopFlite P47 Giant scale right after take off. The problem was caused by myself not switching the TX back after looking into another program for the test config belonging to the same aircraft. Throws were exactly the same except the ailrons. I didn't lose the P47 as I managed to deal with the 'handicap' to immediately supress my 'routine' and fly 'handicapped'. Keeps you on edge the whole time as this routine tries to take over big time!

  • As we say at our aero club : "if only the ground was 5 feet lower i could of pulled out of it".

  • @xrayracer1 Hah ha ha ha hah! That's right!

  • "Giant scale man crashes giant scale plane"

  • I think I see the problem: His fingers slipped off the sticks due to all the grease from the 6 double cheeseburgers he ate right before takeoff.

  • I like the conversation afterwards complete with hand gestures.

Pilot: It did this, then this....

Friend: I know Captain Obvious, I just saw it. It did this, then this......

  • Asshole...

  • Textbook landing

  • That SUX!!!

  • Oops, Wrong model on the Transmitter

  • ker splat ka king

  • Preflight,preflight, preflight.

  • lol i would have started going whoohoo and claping when it took off and when it crashed :D!

  • That is so sad. Guy got way too excited. Flying too low to do maneuvers like that. Beginners mistake.

  • @billcavazos your wrong it was its first flight looks likew ail reversed

  • @billcavazos Absolutely CORRECT!!!!!! LOL

  • That thing hit so hard , Some chana man is wondering who goosed him

  • yeaaaaaaahhhhh wuju. Later. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :'-( XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • yeah its took off

    oh! fuck its landed

  • THOSE ENGINES ARE LOUD!

  • glue repair XD!

  • I almost pooped my pants

  • whoooooohooooooooooooooooh crap!

  • thats what happens when you show off fat ass

  • press nine and salute hitler

  • press nin and salute hitler

  • Controlled flight into runway.

  • He was trying to drive with his belly. Thats why it crashed!

  • did he died?

  • kaputt....

  • hahah now a moment of silence :P

  • game over

  • all the time Radio Problem

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Stupid pilot...

  • Yeah, I guess you can say it was pilot error.

  • Did the pilot die?

  • Oops...my bad!

  • you see kids what happens when you show off.

  • Nice work !

  • clap when it lands yay yay ohhh dear.

  • Just got too cutesy, too low.

  • i like the part when it crashes

  • rofl the silence at the end.

  • some one should laugh in the pilots face

  • nice radio loks like a lap jajajajajajajajaj

  • Oh nice radio dude what were you flying that thing with a laptop.......the harness he had on stretching over that giant boiler was a nice touch too

  • hahahahaha everybody was clapping and then it went silent.

  • I don't think he was expecting a planet to be in his flight path, that used to surprise me too sometimes.

  • "Sweet dreams and fine machines in pieces on the ground".

  • dude in white shirt hassome explane'n to do...that was the worst victory roll i have seen to date.

  • I'm glad he showed me with his hands what happened, I didn't understand the first time....

  • objects fall down, even flying objects:)

  • Clean up on runway 4 please!

  • OMG what a ass.showing off nice landing.

  • Whoa! Yeah! It's up in the air, rolling already... ah.. oh.

  • I hate crashing in front of one or TWO people - it's depressing AND embarrassing. But in front of an entire crowd? When it's obviously MY FAULT, for not checking aileron direction?? Oooooo....

  • lol the renact the scene with there hands.. it went this way, well bob you should have done this

  • his hand flies better than his plane

  • @HCR0512 totally agree

  • sound delay was intresting...the silence made it hurt worse

  • yep! - classic.

Look at this guy at the end - hands going this way and that - actually showing us how he fucked up.

...he's gotta understand, when you start to fly, you start at the beginning, like someone here said "get a 3 channel (Super Cub) trainer - learn how to get up and down without this result.

not like a video game ya know!

  • Yeah...the hand signs clearly tell us what happened...

  • that looked like reverse ailerons to me. c

  • Cheering and claping...Then a sudden silence......Yeah really classic!! Funny;)

  • Needs to go back to a trainer and have someone pre-flight it for him

  • I like how they start clapping and then they slowly stop, : )

  • That silence was deafening! Was it the arrow or the indian?

  • So sorry for the loss if the aircraft, but some of the comments here are very funny : )

    A YouTube first!!!!

  • "controls were moving, just not in the proper direction."

Ahh yes, done that one. Now I always stand behind the plane and do direction tests before each flight regardless.

  • Later that evening, Larry consoled himself with a triple cheeseburger/extra mayo, and a double helping of fries.

  • @mondoman561 Now thats funny, LMFAO!!!!!

  • @mondoman561 If he had ANY $ left after trashing that kind of set-up! Most likely he sprung for a GENERIC 12 pack of beer & got as smashed as his Plane! After that kind of MISTAKE who cares what kind of beer anyone sees you toting around the field.

  • nice roll this way then that way cool landing toooooo lol

  • You need a MUCH BIGGER Transmitter! WAY BIGGER, BIGGER than that MASSIVE little thing your lugging around (Complete With Harness)! If you only build a regulation FCC control tower size transmitter, your plane just MAYBE PERHAPS MAY FLY. Believe Me. From my perspective THE PILOT did NOTHING wrong! He Just NEEDS a WAY Bigger TX!

  • @ACTIVEBIRDBRAIN thats too funny hahahaha

  • @shoado It's just being silly. You see these 12 yr old kids flying B-29's with a 2.4GHZ TX the size of a wrist watch today, Thats IMPRESSIVE to me.

  • @ACTIVEBIRDBRAIN . i would have a yoke and throttle mounted on it...

  • @inbound1000 Nah, He'd have definatly been Killed! He SHOULD perhaps hire/consult a compitent 12yr old AMA pilot at the fly field to give him some tips. That's what I do & I fly TRASH! But..... It flies!

  • that will polish out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

australia salutes you sir, the man who never made a mistake never made anything

  • PILOT ERROR!!

  • hehehehehehe

  • OH, that hurts!!!

  • Well, it went like this....then it went like that....then it hit the ground really hard.

  • my god....only for showing off a bit...xD

  • schade...

  • Wouldn't it have been better to gain a bit of altitude before showing off.you tit

  • @1nikobelic i agree

  • JAJAJAJA

  • Next time you want to make a rabbit hole avoid the tarmac.

  • ouch! it hurts!

  • He was faster than the sound

  • Hotdog take off!!!

  • he did'nt have it

  • I know people pour their heart and soul into some of these creations... but man, it's funny to see them crash.

  • Showing off doesn't get me anywhere either..

  • aw man. . . . all those hours down the drain.

  • " You see what I was attempting was half roll, but the side wind shear hampered my ability to control the roll, and it instead performed a fatal pavement maneuver."

"In other words you fucked up".

"Well you can put it that way if you want. Anyway what's on the bbq?"

  • Pre-flight and always ALWAYS do a complete check of direction and throw on every surfaces BEFORE EVERY flight....lot of time and money down the drain due to simple mistake.

  • @ricksteffey123 Don't be a douche.

  • @miamad Your a loser, all I said was pre-flight and you have to leave a stupid comment you ass

  • mustang shit get honda civic

  • The crowed clapped and he craped!! Dum F*&K

  • Did anyone see a chute!!!

  • HEY LOOK!!! ITs FLYING YEA!!!!

    Oh wait shit nvm -THUD-

Im sorry about your good creation :(

  • @thevideocaller KMLL IKRRR every1 was like yayy!!!! then awww

  • Wow sound really does travel slower than the crash! Man I am so smart! I'm so gonna be a chemical engineer. Thanks everyone for reading this post!

  • 0:17 to 0:22 is Gold...Rare to see NTSB officials discussing the obvious 'radio failure', and it looks as if one of them has a Remote Control Big Mac Meal Ordering System strapped around his no-neck......one of those classic R/C moves that should have been practiced on the computer simulator...and saved to the controller for those one-button stunts...

  • Comment removed

  • AWKWARD moment of silence!

  • Nice Moral Support after take of though hehe. Bad luck Dude

  • bla haaaaaaa

  • no explosion

  • I hope you had insurance!

  • oh that would suck man that was a nice plain

  • where are you that allows flying that close to a highway?

  • ailerons reversed?

  • I love how it just got absolutely silent

  • lmao damn hes good

  • @davielm1 haha

  • Respond to this video... nice

  • next time ya might wanna wait till yer above 20 ft before doing aerobatics. just a thought

  • @dejektor he had his ailerons reversed dipshit.

  • Textbook landing

  • yeeehhaaa! lol!

  • Unfortunately the pilot survived .....

  • NOOB!!!!

  • NOOB

  • Who ate all the pies??

  • You paid the ultimate price!!!!get some flyin lessons bud!!!!!lol

  • no it cant happen to anyone! it only happens to people who don't do their pre flight checks! i fly full size sailplanes and when you're sat at the launch point preparing to launch, there is a set procedure you have to go through before you are ready to be hooked up. the same principles apply when preparing your model for flight!

  • the silence is classic.

  • Oops...reverse those aileron servos!

  • Someone should invent an autopilot system for these model planes so they don't steer at too much of an angle. With GPS a flight plan and auto thottle system, emergency landing system, could be put in to rc models ,simular to what it used in PC flight simlulators. I think it would be worth it,and it would save countless of dollars in crashers

  • Seen it happen more than once! Damn shame!

  • HAHAHAHAAHAH cracks me up everytime

  • Sad.. I just had the same thing with the maiden flight of my Extra 300. Luckily I worked my brain around it and landed the plane. Amazing save.

  • i do rc flying hes a dumbass for not knowing how to fly a plane and secondly learn the laws of physics he should have made sure he had enough lift beforing doing stunts that low after takeoff

  • @TAKIZAWAYAMASHITA Your fucking stupid... and I doubt very much you are an r/c pilot...

  • @OGxGingerbreadManx uh huh and your a fucking retard to come in with nothing but insults, just like this fool have u ever in ur life seen a real pilot try to do a fucking fly right on takeoff no i nor have i seen other rc pilots try that

  • @TAKIZAWAYAMASHITA Did you even watch the video?..... this has nothing to do with physics or knowing how to fly a plane... the servo's where reversed and he crashed.... You are a retard, go stick your head in the oven

  • @OGxGingerbreadManx You deduced that how? Because he flipped one way then the other? Any half good pilot can fly with reversed ailerons. Simply leave em alone and fly rudder/elevater.

  • @darrindwp Unless it's already too far to one side or the other before you discover the problem. In that case rudder isn't going to do much

  • @darrindwp You'v obviously never flown a scale P-51, "any good pilot knows", you can't fly a P-51 using only rudder...

  • love the crowd :)

  • crowd before crash "Wooo! Sweet!"

    crowd after crash " :o "

  • it looks stretched out

  • @offspringfanman96

Good pickup. Didn't really notice that because of the crash.

Maybe the stretched fuselage contributed to the problem.

  • @ronho2007 GOOD pickup?! who couldnt notice how demented that thing is shaped!

  • and then, the crowd goes silent.
