this video isn't meant to be a shootout between a 5 year old cranker and a brandnew deep cycle battery.

The video is intended to show the deep cycle battery's ability to crank the engine of a car/4WD.

The fact that the tired cranker still did the job, offers some insight into the amount of voltage leeway the deep cycle had to offer during cranking.

    cheers

  • @mrbatteryvalue Agm batteries in general are amazing.....I started a 7.4 liter v8 with just a single 28 amp hour agm battery. Agm batteries have much higher cranking amps than their flooded lead acid (deep cycle) counterparts. The fiber glass mat in them also allows them to hold a charge for a long time....I can hold 13 volts + for over 3 months in most of my agm batteries.

  • this doesnt prove anything. the bosch had a starting voltage of 12.45v and not 12.9v, therefore the starting capacity was way less
