@VVWEtitantrons - No, I kicked the N-gage habit in 2010. I simply could not ignore the iPhone any longer. It's a phenomenally superior device in so many ways, it's unreal. The N-gage is woefully (and I mean woefully) outdated.
@VVWEtitantrons me.. i still have n gage qd and classic ... i got 150 games in n gage ... so many great apps .. wanna share something about ur n gage? so i can learn
God no! N-gage wouldn't have any modem in it. It just has a very primitive XHTML browser that's virtually useless today. Some websites like ebay and gmail have mobile versions that you can access on the N-gage. But you wouldn't want to.
@dogeymon83 does it use a standard 3.5mm headphone jack commonly used in most electronic devices such as psp, ipod, PCs, etc? or the smaller 2.5 mm headphone jack?
@ allen0088 - Actually, no it does not have a standard headphones jack. The original N-gage came with an adapter, as a matter of fact. Google N-gage Cable Kit.
And by the way, the N-gage has bluetooth and I did in fact dial up my internet and use the net on my Tapwave Zodiac back in the day. But it was way slow. I don't think that's the same as having a modem, but close enough I guess.
@allen0088 - You bought one??? Heh. Congratulations. Hope you like it. I really want an iPhone because I love the iPod Touch so much and have been thinking of getting a new phone. But I'm still thinking about it.
N-gage is a fun collector's item. It's like a real handheld system. And I love the games. Durable hard cases and little game cards.
Uhhh, why would you be trying to put two memory cards into the N-gage???? ....that doesn't make any sense. It only takes one card.
Uhhh, the games themselves are just MMC cards. Those ARE memory cards. But no, the commercially released games do not really come with extra memory included. Might be a MB or two free but they're copyright protected I think.
It's either a blank MMC card, or a game card. There is only one game slot.
Maybe I misunderstood you. What do you mean you can't get the memory card and game to fit in at the same time?
do i have to switch out the game and memory card to play them only one at a time or can i listen to mp3s and play commercially released games simultaneously? like for example with the PSPs 1000-3000 series you can put movies, photos and music on the memory stick then put the game in the umd drive. are there 2 separate slots on the n-gage for commerically released games and the memory card n-gage?
ya N-gage better then N-gage QD. My N-gae QD oredy use 5 year wat olso don have olso got MP3 and some song. 1 Game olso don have Wan install it say memory low. Can give me Vboy to play can ?
In the manual it says that the music player only works with 128mb mmcs and i notice you have a 1gb. I have a 2gb mmc and i get an error when trying to use the music player have you had this problem?
I don't know what manual you're reading. When the Nokia N-gage was going strong, NOKIA was putting its 256MB and 512MB cards in EBGames stores to buy.
The 1GB card works fine. I've used a few brands and they've all worked fine. It's 1GB so the phone takes a second or so (or several) to start up the mp3's.
I've never used more than 1GB. I would imagine it wouldn't work. Don't use those MMC+ cards. Just the regular ones.
Well I'm pretty sure they were still developing cards at the time that that manual had been printed. I'm sure there were new sizes available afterwards. :) And in fact, there were. And they were sold for N-gage.
LOL i had this phone, i was gonna sell it but i left it on the bus with a charger... lol and it still had the sim card in it... but the sim card doesnt work... they lost the number lol
The classic N-Gage phones can still compete with 70% of the new "advanced" phones available on the market. That's really amazing if you ask me. I've been an N-Gage user and I always will be.
It's an okay phone!! just a bad fucking console! lol

@jheffasian Yeah, try getting emulators on your n-gage, that will make it more enjoyable if you love the old classic games.

Does the N-Gage QD have a mini/micro SD card slot?
austin1776 3 years ago
No, definitely not. A multimedia card slot only. And SD-CARDS will NOT work with this. Only MMC's.
