for the president question it said at the Time of the Election. At the time George Washington was elected he was the first person to be the president so therefore he was the oldest president to ever be elected up to then

That's what I thought too. Since he's the first president, there are no younger presidents than him, so by definition he's the oldest president elected at the time of his election.
