@FloridaRaider I am defensive when it comes to gambians.. As well as them being a much loved pet in the UK.. They also save lives!!! Ok they are an invasive species in the US and i have read about them invading florida keys but they are life savers in other countries!! They have cleared so many landmines and are in training to sniff out Tuberculosis..

@w1cked240 i have 7 male rats, 7 female rats and they are all sooooo cute. if anyone is thinking of getting a couple,,,DO IT you will regret waiting if you put it off. if you stroke them on the top of the head or between the eyes the grind their teeth and chuck at you; it's kind of like them giggling. so full of win and cute
You seem like a fantastic breeder. It's a shame that most good Pouched Rat breeders seem to be located in the UK (I'm in the US) but I would love to hear any info you might have for me on the raising and care of these beautiful creatures. I'm very interested in raising a couple when I have ample space.
@newfyclays yeah, you can own and breed them. BUT almost all councils treat them like any other rodent, in that if they escape and the council find them they treat them as invasive species and wont be sent to the rspca or rescues. lets just say that they won't admit it but their policy involves poison/airgun/slingshot then off to a furnace. their, and, my opinion is that if you are a responsible owner you won 't get a chance to see this happen. :D
She's fully grown now! She has an absolutely wonderful character and the intelligence level is through the roof.. She's my big baby.. Her dad weighs in at 4lb x

Hi there! I currently keep fancy rats and have been considering getting a GPR at some point in the future, so have been doing lots of research on them. I came across this video and I am SO impressed by how affectionate your beautiful girl is (most of my FRs aren't even quite as that soppy!). She's absolutely wonderful (and ADORABLE). I see you're in the UK, as am I; would you mind telling me which breeder she's from?
