if germany had concentrate on this tank only after 1943 and not been messing with king tigers and such things (ferdinant).. the result of the war coul´t have been delayed further into 1946-48

PROUD of their branch of service, enduring the hardship of war and most of all dedicted to each other... no matter what the politics of men who sent them there. I'm a retired 30 year US Navy Aviation veteran most proud also, but we never had a song like this.
Very good tribute to one of the best tanks of the war. Perfect balance of firepower and armor. Towards the end of the war, a few Panthers were equiped with infa-red night fighting equipment!

The British and French with more tanks on their side, could just destroyed every single trapped German tank. However, the British and French were not cooperating with each other much and thus the German Panzer divisions complete it objects.

@jimmyxx3 Sherman was. The pershing was a magnificent tank though. If the top command wasnt so narrow minded they would have made more and saved thousands of tank crewmens lives.
@jimmyxx3, M26 pershing was at least equal to a panther. It was one of the first tanks with effective gun stabilization, it could fire on the move when most WW2 tanks had to stop to aim. Also the experimential "Super Pershing" with a high velocity gun could put a shot straight through a Jagpanther, penitrating both sides and hitting the ground on the other side of the vehicle.

MBTs with good guns do.
@WhiteWolfeHU actually. if i can find the story. its on youtube. their is a king tiger that took over 400 direct hits from 57 shermans. it fired 58 rounds. destroying all the shermans with one hit. and one grazing round that blew the turret apart it fired again to destroy the tank. then it fled 40 miles with severe track,tranny,engine, and hydraulics damage. before the tranny finally blew. heavy tanks do work just they were rushed in and not properly tested no kingtiger was destroyed by enemies

@jimmyxx3, M26 pershing was at least equal to a panther. It was one of the first tanks with effective gun stabilization, it could fire on the move when most WW2 tanks had to stop to aim. Also the experimential "Super Pershing" with a high velocity gun could put a shot straight through a Jagpanther, penitrating both sides and hitting the ground on the other side of the vehicle.

@thenoobfactor Yes sure the americans finally caught up with the germans in tank quality...so did the russians, but if it wasnt for a madman, the germans would have been fielding much better tanks by the time the "super pershing" you say saw action. fact is panthers and kingtigers(althou a failer) saw action in great numbers while the pershing was barely in europe in 1945. now the super pershings gun tried to match the Kingtigers88 it was good, but the germans had it first! sorry.

@jimmyxx3 I have to agree with you, but look what the americans did was amazing...going from not having any tanks to matching the kingtiger in ...what 5 years of development....and better tanks. the russians droped the heavy tank and stuck with the T series. the german heavy tanks were a failer as well...the americans neve made a heavy tank...but very good medium tanks and now its called MBT. so.....the pershing was a verry good tank period. heavy tanks dont work. MBTs with good guns do.

@WhiteWolfeHU actually. if i can find the story. its on youtube. their is a king tiger that took over 400 direct hits from 57 shermans. it fired 58 rounds. destroying all the shermans with one hit. and one grazing round that blew the turret apart it fired again to destroy the tank. then it fled 40 miles with severe track,tranny,engine, and hydraulics damage. before the tranny finally blew. heavy tanks do work just they were rushed in and not properly tested no kingtiger was destroyed by enemies

I can see how it can fit into the strategy really well...but it just fell out of modern times with aircraft power, rockets, better AT rounds, and up-gunned medium tanks. sorry..... tho the Panther 2 would have been the best tank for another 5 years....and if germany had the resources, just think of the technology.

@TheNightrunner666 but remember, on d-day and father germany had an estimated 2-9 planes that were not shot down and could fly (and no not 2,000 or 200 JUST 2) but yes the musse HT would crush everything and that might hold the war on long enough to allow the MP44 to be produced in even more numbers and more men could of been drafted giving a victory to the Axis powers.

@ww298kscope just about the tank crews. the tank crews were like the waffen ss they were not rushed they were trained and then sent in. the reason the tanks broke were first they were rushed into production second jewish slave labor tried to sabatage the tanks before they left teh factory sometimes they did so

Übrigens: Es sind Franzosen, der Panther gehört dem Panzermuseum in Saumur, die auch den bislang einzigen fahrbereiten Königstiger besitzen. In der Schweiz wird gerade ein zweiter fahrbereit gemacht, dauert aber noch ca. 4-5 Jahre

The German had the best tanks in WWII, despite what some would suggest regarding the T-34. The Tiger was developed to counter the T-34, as well as, the Panther. The German Army was very well trained and equipped and especially the SS Divisions. Their downfall was a war on two fronts, as well as, incompentent Italians in North Africa.

Yes very true my friend. Also remember when the Russians army first entered East Prussia in 1945, the native Germans were murdered and raped and suffered terribly at the hands of the Reds. Approx 600,000 were killed in just a few months.
