  • How old was GM WSL when this was filmed?

  • to those dislike..maybe you only notice WSL hand movement but not the foot movement specially the heals....sucker......that is one of the best chum kiu you've ever seen and more traditional..

  • i rate 10/10 for this chum kiu...

  • You guys are nearly all fuckin' homos. It's sad to hear you boast about how you could fuck each other up, when all you really (probably) want to do is either bum each other, or become good at fighting to avoid being bum-raped. Just say no, guys, take a deep breath, find a decent girl and move out of your parents' house..

  • Mannnn who would dislike this?

  • this is "THE KING OF TALKING HANDS" respect

  • i follow wing chun Wong Shun Leung style in holland and i can tell u its soo effective you can easy win a fight with this ( when you know how to do this)

  • check this school very good, wingchunmartialarts.co.uk

  • The only thing I like is his attire. Almost like the one that Bruce Lee wore in Game of Death. I hope I hv one set of this attire as well!!

  • WHEEEEEEEE MMAKARENA!

  • 1st of all you haters and lovers Wong was the only one that fully trained with and by Yip man. 2ndyou can't compare any towards him he was undefeated untill he passed away. 3rd all the socalled aswhipe masters Like Leung ting William chun Garry lam sergio whatever you call yourself they never trained as hard as Wong and never trained Daily Wong is and was the only one if you look at any class picture of Yip man Wong is always on his right side that tells you enough.

  • @MrMiesj911 There are talents, there are hard workers ,there are both...Respect for everybody

  • @MrMiesj911 can you please give us links to class pictures of yip man??

  • @MrMiesj911 - You seem angry. Are you angry at those you call "aswhipe masters"? Why be disrespectful? And by how you describe Wong Sifu's schedule, it seems that you were there with him every day. What was it like? Did you like living in Hong Kong? Did you and Wong Sifu hang out all the time or did he spend some time with other people? What a great honor you have had knowing Wong Sifu for so long. I bet you are a great Sifu too! You must have many students who are champion fighters. Lucky guy

  • I agree with most of your comments. You can't learn WC without an experience teacher who had studied for many years to master the skills.I have been studying karate for more than 10 years and now trying to learn WC on YouTube is difficult without proper guidance.

  • @baptistchrisjohn

    it is impossible

  • Awesome... i just started ving tsun half of a year ago...

i train it at a guy who used to learn a lot from wong sun leung its awesome to watch such a genius doing the forms.

I also think you cant learn it without a teacher

  • master wong shun leung has 3 or two incidents!

  • ok so i know wong shun trained with bruce lee under ip man with his son ip chun. bt if n e one know tell me please y wong shuns looks different than his master ip man?. very subtle but also kinda not changes to the form are there for sure. and which does n e one think is better and y? i like wong shuns he looks like he took wht he learned and made really adaptable for real combat situation. the form anyway. but i kud b wrong its jus my opinion and im still learning this form.

  • @SirTokesAlot16 Buy David Peterson's Dvd's, they go into so much detail regarding the WSL method of wing chun. Yes you are right, there are many subtle differences, which together add up to make a considerable difference. The WSL system is much more practical and efficient. From my experience, the WSL method is vastly more effective than others.

  • Before winning countless fights on the rooftops of HK using Wing Chun, Wong Shun Leung was winning countless fights using western boxing. He was a bad ass with a good heart. He was a senior student of Yip Man and Bruce Lee's elder kung fu brother. His forms look simple because it's the subtlety of the movements that makes them effective. He didn't like fancy techniques. He used solid principles instead. He was a proven master of the system.

  • i think that he do a wrong haPac at the end with hislef hand when is with the right hand first. it confuse me..hwo is this guy? i cant recongise him sorry abou that.

  • @jorgeamayas what the hell is haPac , pal? There's no Wing CHun hand technique called haPac, it is Sor Sau, some families call it Gum Sao (pressing hand). And the left or right hand goes first is not the matter. Also, this is the famous GM Wong Shun Leung, one of the first students of GGM. Ip Man, he also is credited to be one who assist Ip to teach Bruce Lee. Google and u will see his pics with Bruce. Cheers!

  • @gameofdeath4288 Ha low and Pak or pac or whatever you translate that its a blocking with the hand.. following the siun lim tao or sim lun tao etc, its the movement 46-47-48. two ha pacs to the sides over the legs. and Yews its' true now i see its Sifu Wong shun leung. i couldn't recognize him. im a diciple of Sifu Duncan Leung and mi teaching was diferent about this form... ubt has always, even this one is diferent has the Ip man opriginal version. Cheers to all and Keep training!

  • @jorgeamayas for sure it's different. Cause every single person has unique personality/perception/understanding thus the way they interpret what they was taught obviously not necessarily exactly the way their Sifus done. Also i thought u a bit confused here, pak (or pac as watever u'd like to spell it) doesn't simply mean a hand-block, it's translated specifically throwing hand. Cheers! Gluck with ur training!

  • jeez this is poor aswell. Such sloppy technique, it is very disappointing.

For haters/ flamers - an example. The step + low bong sau's. His biu ma is not even close to in time. ie he steps, stops, then does the technique. They should be simultaneous, to create your ging energy (ie the power of each individual movement adds together through correct timing)

  • @ozzie1246 clueless idiot.

  • @ozzie1246 they move in alignment with his waist, perfectly.

  • @ozzie1246 hows tat poor wong shun leung adaptedthe wing chun system and made it better he would kick the crap out of u in a fight it may look slopy but u wouldnt last 2 mins

  • @TJGRIME make that 5 seconds.

  • @ozzie1246 hahahaha.... another "master" who claims to be....better then WSL?? not in your dreams... come down to earth :D rofl

  • @andrenalin79 Yuen Kay San > WSL

  • @anythingnew yuen kay san was not related to wong. this is another lineage

  • What is with the yellow. OMG, I'm blind.

  • I prefer shaolin tai chi. Mainly because it's easier on my joints.

  • exactly...synkroynyk...is a fucking tool who runs off at the mouth...In reality he knows nothing about WC...The founder of this system developed it pretty much by herself...So yes it's very much possible to learn it without a teacher...I just don't know how good it would be...:)

  • brothers, I think one may memorize 100's of fanastic and lovely forms, and have no kung fu at all and still another may have no forms, but the formless form and defeat one after another. I believe all comes from the mind and that the important skills can not be taught, but must come wordlessly from the mind. And thus learning from 1000 top masters would be useless without such mind skills... oh and thanks for sharing this vid.. I enjoy seeing the various ways of kung fu learners! good journey!

  • it'll be as good as the martial artist is at researching and training!

    O.-

  • I can agree with that

  • No.

Although there are a couple stories, about how Wing Chun came about the martial art... It wasn't one person who developed it. It was a tradition in the Shaolin temples. Taught to Wing Chun by Ng Mui. And the stories (many of them) say she adapted it. But who knows.

But let me just add, an instructor is crucial. This art has evolved over hundreds of years, a person cannot learn without a teacher.

    my opinion.

  • @ThinKFasT03

everyone we meet in our life is our teacher.

but sifu is unique, meaning of sifu is not teacher. its more than teacher.

  • @ThinKFasT03

What do you do if you have no teacher?

    also...

What is the point of the videos?

  • @SpeeMMrow

I suppose you find one?... Sadly, I'm sure as you know, there isn't much opportunity to learn WC in most places, and I suppose that is where the videos, come in to spread awareness... Although, I sure most people who stumble across videos like these are familiar with WC.

I just watch the videos when I'm bored... Maybe reconnect with some club mates over youtube? ... Its happened! lol

  • @SpeeMMrow My teacher just started showing me Chum Kiu.... I came to watch this video to help me remember the sequence. Also for inspiration! Good luck finding a teacher

  • @ThinKFasT03 I have been in many fights. This style looks lame, it is unpractical and most fights end up on the ground. I bet I can knock you to the ground and punch you multiple times till you knock out. Only UFC and MMA fighters are great because we are realistic.

  • @anythingnew that's nice... luckily I don't judge my worth on my fighting ability. Is there a reason why you would like to fight me? Or do you feel the need to assert your dominance in violence because other aspects of your life are lacking.

  • @anythingnew Im sorry, UFC and MMA realistic? Since when do REAL fights happen in the ring? Since when do real fights have rules? Oh right when i would get into a bar fight ill tell them: hey eh let me get my gloves and no kicking in the groin and such, that isnt realistic, because it isnt allowed in the UFC and the MMA

  • @anythingnew Ving Tsun is for survival...not for competition... don´t judge on how the form "looks". Playing a form is not fighting..

  • @andrenalin79 maybe this helps to understand what we are doing..

    watch?v=4QYBGzW6AY0

  • @ThinKFasT03 your an idiot lmao a human made this martial art by himself so another one can very well learn it by themself. and just so you know smart ass. This martial art has nothing to do with the movements its about something deeper. something you know nothing about. 10 years wing chun vet so come at me.

  • you're still a fuckwit.

  • SNT Footwork ???? Didn't know there were steps in it

  • Comment removed

  • @Ben900000 there isn't really

  • @Ben900000

there isnt. Some branches have slight leg movements during the snt, but they are not necessarily footwork. I know that hawkins chueng's crew does some of it.

  • @tego211 In the most obvious sense, it's true that there is no footwork in the SNT form. But there are elements of it which are more subtle. During the form, you should always have a pelvic tilt with your energy constantly going forward. It all starts from the hips. This is the foundation for all movement in Wing Chun. The hip is what drives the shifting. The hip is what drives you forward when you step, punch, and kick. So footwork is trained in a sense during SNT.

  • @Ben900000 This is chum kiu not sil lim tao

  • @Ben900000 This is Chum Kiu, not SNT. It's the second form.

  • @Ben900000

its not sui nim tau its chum kiu

  • @Ben900000 yup

  • @Ben900000

    This is chum kiu

    Not siu nim tau

    The 2nd form

  • wow great to see a true masters form,i train under one of wongs deciples barry lee,[the machine],another great and underated master!

  • Anyone? Is this the great wong fei hung?

  • You being sarcastic? That's Master Wong Shun Leung, they practice two different martial arts, lol.

  • omg, please say you're joking!

  • i like the way he finishes he just stands up casually with smiles...

  • thanx for posating this vid. in an beginner and learning the chum kiu now. now i can learn it the right way

  • STFU you have no clue as to what you're talking about, so please do us all a favor and stop posting on Wing Chun topics..If Siu lim Tao is really 99 percent of everything you will need..Why in the hell are the other two forms a must if you wanna master this system?...There's alot of other important things one must learn from both the 2nd form and 3rd form. The Third form is just as important as the first...BECAUSE IT DEALS WITH RETAKING OF THE CENTERLINE...learn something about WC then talk.

  • Thanks, this is fantastic

  • thank you very much for sharing

  • thanks alot for posting the video, its nice to see the forms from the man himself.

  • thanks a lot for posting this clip.

  • Indeed, this is one of the only WC demos which shows the right energy. In fact, it is very reminiscent of Chen style TaiJi, and the use of the internal power (fajin) Search on Chen Xiaowang -fajin to see a similar demo of that. Very nice thanks for posting

  • 1000Demons; thats correct, one hand comes down on the top of the fist, while the other slaps hard on the elbow, very brutal deffence against a straight punch.

  • Thanks heaps for posting this. Much respect.

  • Yip Man at some points only taught one kick in the form at the end because he reckoned if you could kick with your worse leg (for most the left) then you could kick with your right too.

  • thank you very much for sharing. we all love and respect this man for all he has given us thru his kung fu.

    Much Respect.

  • this is awesome very informative...Thank you

  • Beautiful arm breaks.

  • thelighthousekeeper: thanks for pointing out the "arm breaks". I was wondering for the longest time what those were(at least, I think that's the point in the form where he's hitting himself in the arm). I used to think "Why deduct from your own power when using tan sau to the throat?" But no, arm breaks. It makes more sense now, if we're talking about the same part of the form, so thank you.

  • The technique can be used as a way to hyper extend a grabbing arm (Jeet sau, as in intercepting hand/arm) but the movement also highlights using both arms at once whilst striking - using one hand to pull (Jut sau) the opponent onto the striking hand (a la dummy form) - the bottom hand quickly becomes the top hand, and vice versa. It could also be interpreted as a recovery, IMO it is not the most important aspect of the second form (that's footwork) so don't worry about it too much.

  • thanks a lot for this video

  • Excellent clip thank you for sharing.

  • Congratulations! I've been searching for a Chum Kiu video that had the right energy and form, this is the 10th vid i've seen and i was ready to give up when i clicked this.

Just my luck the video is distorted. We need more vids of him. my sifu taught me to kick better than that but i like the energy overall

  • ProjUltraZ: You took the words right out of my mouth. So hard to find vids with this much skill.

  • thanks :)

  • COOL VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARRING
