Did you use any particular instructions to do the aileron mod or just eyeball it? I've got some hxt900's and a $13 gyro laying around. ;)

@h0tr0d31337 I started searching on RCGroups and landed in the long Easy Star thread. :) They suggested starting 4" from the true center of the wing, and cut them 19" long and 1 1/2" deep. Bevel just the bottom of the wing and aileron, leaving the tops able to meet at all times. (to prevent turbulence on the top wing surface) I cut mine 15" long though, instead of 19". It's still very responsive on roll, even on low rates. High rates is plenty, I was even rolling it while test flying it visually

@h0tr0d31337 By the way, flight times are way down now that it's flying faster with more power on. ;) I killed a 2200mAh 3-cell lipo in about 20 minutes or so. I need to reset the timers on my transmitter (15 and 18 minute warnings will do) and get a better onboard warning device too. This one's buzzer is pretty much done!

@bonafidepirate Hehe, moving that left thumb back might improve your flight times ;P Do I smell an OSD in the pipeline? One thing I'm going to miss when I go to the DL is the telemetry on my Hitec Aurora.

@h0tr0d31337 That was the plan, until I stumbled across the OpenPilot project a few hours ago! I spent my OSD money on a CopterControl board... lol It looks like a high quality piece of hardware that will be fun to play with!
