  • Wonderful thing you did there Brian, if only you still had the like button i'd bet you'd have a lot of them.

  • Congratulations and Well Done! Back in CA for the holidays? Have a healthy, happy and prosperous new year! - James

  • Thank you, James! I'm actually back in CA for good. You do the same! Keep rockin' out those awesome CP videos!

  • I bet you the next that young man runs into you he'll have his friends with him and they'll treat you to a special dinner. It's about time we hear more stories of people with a heart who are willing to go the extra mile to help somebody out.

  • It's terrific that you implemented your connections with and knowledge of the local railway infrastructure to help one guy out. Have you ever considered a job in railroading?

  • Thank you. I've considered it. Possibly sometime down the road.

  • Thats thinking outside the box, glad you were able to help

  • A very nice story!!! Congratulations, great catch and Happy new year!!! (I know it was yesterday but I was busy!!)

  • Thanks! Same to you

  • Nice story; it's good that you had the connections to do that!

Now, is it normal for those trains to run with just a single little red marker on the loco like that? Seems it would be hard to see from a distance.

  • Thanks! Yes, only one marker light is lit when the F59PHI's are in Push mode.

  • sweet catch and Lash up! and happy new year!!

    Michael Scott

  • That was nice did you made that happen.

  • Nice video!

  • Outstanding

  • Well, that was very nice of you Brian. Good job. You were very kind to that guy and I bet he is very grateful that you helped him.

  • nice vid brian you did the right thing to help that guy out good for you.

  • Good guy, good for you!

  • God bless you

  • Hmm, one of the maker lights is out.

  • @SantaFebuff Nahh, the F59PHI units only have one. The opposite one in an emergency light and is only triggered by dumping the air completely.

  • @SantaFebuff Not really. The earlier F59PHIs only had the engineer's side marker for when they were on the end of a train. The other side was an emergency strobe like what SP had on the nose of their engines. These would only go off if the train went into emergency braking.

  • God bless you brian, great helping him! :)

  • Well done! You did good, and that's great.:)

  • Nice catch on Amtrak 6951.

  • Five stars to you!*****

  • Great story behind the video. Glad you where able to help someone out...Thanks for using your "track smarts" :)

  • Excellent PR for Amtrak. Much better than 'we must stick to the schedule at all costs' ruthless efficiency.

  • Good job! You did the right thing. What goes around comes around.
