My name is nick and I have had shingles for 8 years now I break out every month, and everyhting you said in your video is true. when I have gone to the emergency when i have an outbreak I seem to knw more about shingles than the dr.s do so you are absolutly right that we need to educate ourselves on the matter. because besides pain meds and anti viral meds there is not much that can be done. And if the public understands that it makes having a break a lot easier to deal with.

my mom had the shingles for over a year  Hers were internally. had trunk pain but did not have external rash

Shingles like all herpesvirus(there are many kinds of herpesviruses) dont go away even if you had reactivated. It really depends on your immune system. If it is compromised it will come back again.

I haven't really felt the pain of shingles. until these past few days. if it's like chicken pox then i have to be more tolerant than ever before. anything that we shouldn't eat and touch when ever we have this>>

i had shingles right now it was a month now and im not fully healed yet the first week it was fucking painful like hell i never felt so much unbearable pain in my entire life... that doctor told me to wait a couple of more weeks then i will be fine..

I had Shingles last month, it lasted for 2-4 weeks. It hurt like hell. First I had constant pain in my right abdomen, then a red rash appeared, then red rash become gooey. It was itchy and every time I moved or my clothes touched my skin it hurt. It was horrible. The red rashes have gone away, but have left black spots and scarring. Ive recovered, now, hopefully Ill never have Shingles again.

Shingles caught me too. The pain is horryfing and it itches a lot. I felt like I've been stabbed each five minutes on the chest. My advice for those who are trapped into this disease is: be patient and pray.

I've been about two months dealing with shingles, for me the pain started first, a pain in the chest that made me think it was from the heart, 2 weeks later I notice some kind of irritation in the middle of my chest (Doctor said it was shingles), he prescribed some antiviral and painkillers but the shingles haven't gone yet and the worst of all is the pain I still feel sometimes in my chest, sometimes in my left arm and a sensation of anxiety. It is the worst I've ever felt

I know how you felt. This has destoyed me and the pain and the constant feeling of lethargy is incredible. I just broke out 10/08/08 and I'm miserable. I just want to be my strong, independant self again. Thanks for the information
